Tbh the way the game processes body type is pretty silly, but I don't know how a life sim fixes that. I'm sure it's not an easy system to figure out and given all the updates to gardening, food, and physical activity they've done, I'm sure that's only made it more complicated.

Unfortunately, they decided to go for a ‘cottage living’ pack rather than farming pack, so they were never going to make large scale animal production as it doesn’t fit the ‘cottage’ vibe. I feel like they went for the smaller cottage vibe so they didn’t have to do anything too ambitious, like your suggestion.

I don't think it's too commercial. The sprinklers only cover a few squares and they can cause routing issues if you're trying to keep a large area of plants watered then need to harvest them. There are plenty of non-CL modes that would make a better watering system useful.

you can graft the strawberry cutting on the snapdragon-chocoberry hybrid - that plant will then produce chocoberry, snapdragon, strawberry, and dragonfruit. (less waiting time since it will mature faster than the newly planted snapdragons :)

The two milkings a day is actually quite accurate. Most dairy farmers milk twice a day, around 12 hours apart. And I’m general a cow will produce around 30L of milk a day, so that’s why you get multiple bottles of milk! Love this LP so far!

Yes, a simple foundation stops the vacuum from leaving. I've had this issue before, on a small lot I typically don't care but on a big one like this it just gets broken when it gets stuck in the rain

Rabbits are sporadic. You can't depend on them to do the weeding consistently. That's why I spend those reward points to get a gardener for free. Best use of reward points IMO.

Y’all, dedicated a heap of time to becoming close to your chickens. Then they’ll lay a golden egg, then if you have honey OR cowberry jam you can make the treat, that’s how it worked for me anyway. Make a treat and make the hen you befriended eat it. Then don’t sell your golden eggs, use them only to make golden treats, so much more money that way

You should use the “encourage crop growth” option. You only have to click on one and they will go around and do all of them. I almost never fertilize but always “encourage growth” and get big plants a lot. And it’s free!

I love motherlode! I have been trying not to use it to make myself rich from the start but it's hard. Especially with toddlers and a farm! Everyone states tired. One daughter likes to talk to the plants but she gets pecked by chickens and she cries and throws tantrums all the time! She is inquisitive! Then the toddler younger sister is INDEPENDENT! She actually stays pretty happy! Love the braided pigtails on the toddlers! So cute. Can't wait for them to age up and get more FREE LABOR! Lol

It seems city folk just don't get it. I'm glad we at least have a "trade for meat" option... but it would be better to have a "butcher" option. They wouldn't even need animation. Just have the chicken disappear, then you have chicken meat in your inventory. Sims Castaway had that option for chickens.

In front of the house you should have a circular-ish drive, with a circle of grass garden in the middle - a lot of english manors have 'carriage circles' in front of them so that horses could easily move round, drop you off at the front of the house, and then be taken to the stables

The reason you keep forgetting the villagers is that you only do the bare minimum interaction with them for the quests, so you only have a tiny amount of relationship. Relationship decays over time, and it doesn't take very long for the tiny sliver of friendship to fade into nothing.

It is still happing far too fast though. Random sims call me that I haven't seen in like 3 weeks from the rest of the world but the mayor forgets who I am in a day? You can't talk to me and give me quests to do then be like, wait who are you when I complete the quests!

It's actually happening because he's using the same save file for two gameplays (Hazel's Dream Home Decorator). The sims forget all relationships when you play with another household in the same save.

@@smji5269 Playing with two households is causing more in-game time to pass between episodes with Chaz, so there is more time for the relationships to decay. I don't think playing with two households in the same save causes all relationships to be forgotten because neither of them has an empty relationships panel, but depending on your play style it might look like that because of the amount of time passing between playing with each household.

@@SomeoneBeginingWithI It's not really the time passing, if you watch Clare Siobhan's Not so berry challenge LP, her sims who were married forgot eachother completely. Time might decay a relationship with a random towny but it won't erase someone's spouse from their memory.

@@smji5269 I play with multiple households in the same save and it is 100% the amount of time passing between each household, plus if you have mcccomand center it will make it decay faster unless you change the settings on that.

18:16 - 🐰❗️🚷 Rabbits getting stuck is legitimately 100% a bug. You’ll know they’re truly “stuck” (and not just being idle/lazy) because the only interaction options you’ll have is ‘Action’ and ‘Socialize->Show Dance Moves’. I’ve encountered this issue a few times and the ONLY thing I’ve found that works is by standing next to the stuck rabbit and calling over a befriended/acquainted fox. Generally when foxes are near they trigger the rabbit to burrow underground, thus making it move. I’ve tried everything else, from resetting the rabbit through testingcheats, to removing the tree stump home, to deleting them in Buy Mode and undoing it, just about everything else.

A great suggestion I can give for making it easier to fertilize your plants, Get the bee box! No only do you use them for fertilizing plants but the honey is great to sell or keep for recipes! They do take a little bit of time to get a good relationship but once you do, its a simple matter of keeping them happy. Great investment! (Especially now they got rid of the fertilizer glitch cheat XD)

The two upgrades for sprinklers are unbreakable and puddle free just so you know. Also in the rugs there is a stepping stone looking one. That might work for pathways.

Modern outhouses are often made with clear poly roofs to get more light. You could change the roof to glass.

There’s a selection of “strange mushrooms” on the hill path towards cordelias cottage in the bramblewood, I so far have always had them available despite seasons - for your foraging quest 🤷🏼‍♀️

The farm is so beautiful and realistic! That greenhouse is so perfect. I wouldn't change the outhouse roof. I know there used to be a cc door with the moon cutout on The Sims Resource. Just a couple of tips, Doors open and close away from the direction of the arrow. Sprinklers cover a 3 x 3 area, the same as the grid that shows when you place them. Snapdragons grow in Willow Creek.

Not sure if anyone stated this, but when your trade an animal for something, it gets delivered to your mailbox. So unless you go check your mail you won't be getting anything. Enjoying your lets play James! It made me start my own Generations rages to riches play through. Still on BaseGame Gen One, but I feel like it will help make the game exciting again 😀

For stinky chickens Spellcasters can cast scrubaroo on them. And between Patchy birds and an Army of Bunnies gardens barely need attention. Also for the grafting, you can graft snapdragon onto the strawberry or the strawberry to the snapdragon for the dragon fruit. plant that then you can graft snap to the dragonfruit plant {or dragon to Snap} to get the cow berry.

Outhouses do have half rooves with small or no eaves on the sides, but sticking out over the door, as rain protection I guess. You were on the right path when you started to change it!
