Pray for Wales, I visited Cardiff last week (South Wales) and found almost no person to speak the language and what is worse: a beautiful church called "Corner Stone" is being used for business-events and not anymore for worship. Pray for the university of Cardiff, where people from allover the world are in! .... REVIVAL, spiritual awakening towards Christ, may start there. Even if there are only a few, God can move again like 1904/1905 or mightier. Send your HOLY SPIRIT, LORD, and move again in a mighty way, in Jesus Name, Amen! (from Switzerland)

I am thankful the good Welsh people have kept their native language alive, and have kept up their high standards of church music. There is a wave of meaningless, hymmy-strummy "music" being foisted on the Church today, in all quarters, and it serves as a foil of mediocraty to make the Welsh tunes (and singing) stand out, head-and-shoulders above all. God bless the Welsh... both the people, and their nation, as well !

Yes Philistinism is rampant in the C of E. Interestingly though the main growth area is the Cathedrals where real music is still on tap.

Such beautiful singing but such beautiful words: "In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace". (Ephesians 1:7)

I had the opportunity to visit Wales, many years before finding that some of my ancestors came from there. It is a magical place and I shall remember it always.

Lord, here I am, at your call.... yah, doesn't rhyme or scan but that's what it says. Isn't there another verse that sorta starts "Mae Iesu sydd..." rhywbe'/summat?

Its not, I am coming lord, Coming now to thee, It's... Arglwydd dyma fi ar dy galwad di, Which translates as, Lord here I am waiting on your call. No disrespect intended 🙏.

Hi. Thank you. Not a native Welsh speaker so just used English lyrics. I did think one part didn't sound right. Let us know if there's any other errors. Will try and correct when time permits.

@@mikehawke. it's originally an English language hymn (written in America), which has the chorus: I am coming, Lord! Coming now to Thee! Wash me, cleanse me, in the blood That flow'd on Calvary! The Welsh version is later.

Full Welsh lyrics and a literal translation below: Mi glywaf dyner lais, Yn galw arnaf fi, I ddod a golchi 'meiau gyd, Yn afon Calfari. Arglwydd, dyma fi Ar dy alwad di, Golch fi'n burlan yn y gwaed A gaed ar Galfari. Gogoniant byth am drefn, Y cymod a'r glanhad; Derbyniaf Iesu fel yr wyf, A chanaf am y gwaed. Amen (x3) I hear a tender voice, Calling on me, To come and wash all my sins, In the River of Calvary. Lord, here I am, At your call, Wash me pure-clean in the blood That was on Calvary. Glory forever for order, The reconciliation and purification, I receive Jesus as I am, And I sing of the blood.
