I always tear up when the enemines are coming and Yuna says she's not leaving Taka and Jin doesn't say a word, just draws his sword. This mission and the next one is just so good, been waiting for you to see them since the beginning. Losing the horse is another brutal blow. The 3rd act is so somber especially how it starts.

Taka’s death has to be one of the most gruesome deaths in any game.

This was such a great section in the game. And it was a devastating one too. I LOVED that battle with the whole gang. The chaos of it, everyone fighting for one goal, the adrenaline. It was AMAZING! Taka's death sucked and that battle felt like getting revenge for him. But the broken relationship with Jin and his uncle, and the death of my horse pissed me off for sure. In the best of ways of course for story reasons but still. They killed my horse.😤 I knew this moment would get you in the game too after how well you seemed to like your horse from the very beginning. But on the plus side, at least Taka left us with the best armor in the game imo. 52:41 Funny enough, this was the only thing Jin did that I kinda disagreed with. I felt that he could still be the Ghost yet still have honor. Just not as strict as his uncle. I understood his reasoning and methods for everything, but poison was where I was kinda starting to draw the line a lil bit. Maybe here and there but not like this. He coulda snuck inside and blew up the place or something instead. Poison was just a really terrible way to go for anybody. Specifically the one that makes them vomit blood. The hallucinating one I can accept. And now the enemy knows how to use our poison. The Khan and Ryuzo were a different story tho. They can get the worst cause its personal.

When I played, I never used fast travel (except for one time to get back through Castle Kaneda). And in Act III after losing my loyal companion I refused to whistle for a horse. I walked everywhere, and only allowed myself to ride if I managed to capture a Mongol horse.

Whenever I get to this part of the story, I always change the settings so that Jin wears his mask even in cutscenes. It just makes it feel more like he's left his original identity behind and embraced 'The Ghost' identity.
