me too. I started watching reactor videos about a year ago and bought a lot of Becca super shiny things and some other brands. I sat at my desk and applied it all on. Went into the bathroom and about died when I saw nothing but shine staring back at me. The only thing I had time to do was apply some powder and that toned it down enough I could go out without having to hide my face. It was horrible. Women who are older ( I am 75) just can't be all glow. To tell the truth I love Andreea and don't watch other reactors anymore. I don't wear anything but a little blush when I go out.

I loved this. I know I have said this before, but I have been a Holistic Master Esthetician for almost 40 years and the term ,”Glass Skin” is really marketing. The beauty industry and social media make us feel we are not enough or not beautiful if we don’t have a perfect look or live up to unattainable beauty standard, while buying this or buying that. Big fan from Greece here. Andrea you are the only make up artist I follow with great pleasure. The reason for this is that - opposite a lot of beauty professionals - you seem to understand well women insecurities and embrace them. You have a very mild, gentle language and a class and you make us feel good in our own skin. Make up is a tool to our good mood and joy and not a necessity to cover our defects. Thank GOD we're done "doing the dew!" I have hated that look on most people because it just looks greasy and sweaty. I love the NARS radiant foundation, and I use setting powder to keep everything under control. I love your videos and all the beautiful looks you create!!!

I've stuck with dewy skin since the 90s, it looks natural, it suits me, my skin is more on the oily side anyway and i love it. I have pretty good skin for 47 and I don't care if I have the odd small blemishes, it's more important to have healthy glowy looking skin. You can still cover blemishes with a dewy look anyway. I look like a flat pancake with even the tiniest amount of powder, although i will sometimes use it to lightly brush over a few places and then use a dewy setting spray if I have a long day ahead. Other people look great with a matte look though, it's very individual and you have to do what suits you and your skin type. I'll never go matte!

I use sunscreens as my foundation. Beige tinted, bronzer, blush sticks, glow... all SPF. I am dewey and glowy, and add some spf sunscreen powder to my t-zone. Translucent powder would be even better. I get compliments and this works for me.

I find that most mat makeup for my 68 years makes me look really old. Less is more for my skin and Dewey I think makes me look younger. A super Matt lipstick also makes my lips look older. I think it’s different for all people. When you are younger a Matt looks good. Older skin can look worse.

I am a mature woman & I use Bobby Brown in her dewy Intensive skin serum with spf cool ivory is my colour & I find it’s the best for mature skin it makes you look very natural & (it’s not flat makeup or Matte )& last all day for its the makeup , it has a lot to do with age & skin type you have , when you are young every thing looks good B obey Brown is not greasy at all but we are all individual I recently tried different foundations to see if there was something else as sometimes a change is good but ,will always feel that BBROWN is the best for me ☺️

as a person with normal to dry skin and minimal imperfections who hates powder and high coverage foundations, dewy skin is my go-to. It looks fresh, healthy and helps my face look plumper and younger. I'm so tired of people slamming dewy skin by calling it "sweaty" or "greasy" just because they can't achieve it. It's as if I called matte skin "plastered" or "stuccoed" (though I could actually achieve it, if I wanted). What if we just did our thing without blaming others for what we can't have?

This is such a relief. As someone with acne prone skin- the dewy look did NOT work for me. Only recently did I switch to more semi matte and it is much more flattering on texture. The dewy looks seems to make my texture MORE noticeable.
