It kind of feels like the island is mocking parts of animal crossing in a way? Like a favourite dreamy surrounded by all of the nook mile tickets And the dreamy being so happy to be living there with that big red painted on smile And the mention of how many stars islands have And literally giving them glowing stars And islanders being scientifically studied and turned into other islanders Like a twisted version of reality in this game

Science behind sleep paralysis: Everyone has sleep paralysis every night, but you don’t know that because you are asleep. When you wake up too fast, especially from a dream you body is not awake from the paralysis yet. Your body simply didn’t catch up that fast with your consciousness. Why we have sleep paralysis in the first place? Because our body would move while we dream. It’s a blocker so you don’t do the things you do in your dreams in real life.

I used to get sleep paralysis every single time i slept on my back and it was truly horrifying. I could see like a demon or figure in the corner of my room and then next thing i know they’re floating above me choking me and i can’t breathe. The first time it happened i was so scared and took forever to wake up but im more used to it now so when i see the figure i just wiggle my fingers and toes and start moving around to wake up. Still really scary though.

I suffer from it too, it is horrifying. It used to be a lot more intense when I was a kid and in my mid teens, to the point that I would keep myself up for as long as possible, not realising that lack of sleep is one of the triggers. For ages I used to think I was experiencing something supernatural, until I found out what it actually was and then I was relieved to find out that it is actually quite common and there are ways to wake yourself up quicker. I get it probably once a month now and it's usually voices around my room I hear now (thankfully of people I know so it isn't as scary) rather than anything visual.
@nez999
@nez999 3 жыл бұрын
I get it commonly too, though not as often as every night, that sounds awful and I don’t know what I’d do. I remember my most vivid hallucination being one I had a few months ago, where a creature with long arms and stubby tentacle things for a head shoved my face into my pillow and forced its tentacles through my ears and straight into my brain. I suffocated for a few seconds then woke up. It still happens around 2-4 times a month but I don’t get many hallucinations because I start wiggling my toes to wake up before things get weird.

Sleep paralysis gets much less terrifying if you just flirt with the demon 🤷‍♀️ Edit: 100% seriously though, a way to deal with sleep paralysis is to mentally crack jokes. Remember that it's your own brain doing it, and that you ultimately have control over it!

I saw you liked Reneigh the horse in your other video and I just need to vent because she was my starter villager and she was so nice in the beginning but she turned into such a mean girl by the time she left. She was literally gaslighting me and my villagers with her conversations. The thing that was the last straw though was when she told me how much she loved flowers and collecting them. Cut to a day later when she and another villager are in a fight because the villager said Reneigh smelled cute. Well, she did not like that one bit and was stomping around yelling 'how can something smell cute?!' I stepped in to try and diffuse the situation and the game gave me the option to say she smelled like flowers. I picked this thinking this would appease her and it my shock she flipped out even more and said that was so rude of me to say. Like girl you were the one who literally told me yesterday that you love collecting flower so excuse me. Anyway, I kicked her out for Goldie and we're all very happier.

I saw Aika in another person's AC stream and it had me very confused and afraid. The streamer visited a comfy island afterwards though, so it was all good. Also, some small tips in case you ever want to visit dream islands again: - Players will sometimes leave items for you to use or outfits to dress in, since you can't take anything with you to dream islands. Usually they'll leave them near Resident Services. - You can dream from ANY bed in your home, not just Luna's Bed. Also, sleep paralysis sucks. Also, Wart Jr. can choke on a landmine.

I had sleep paralysis one time, and it was extremely short because I managed to force myself out of it somehow. But when I had it, I hallucinated that there was this giant black cow in the middle of my room just watching me and slowly blinking (looked just like the cows my neighbors own and kill for meat during the winter). I’m not afraid of cows in the slightest, but this one was literally like seven feet tall, so it just made me feel really nervous for some reason. I told my mom about it when I woke up, and she said she thinks that it was the spirit of one of the cows that was killed next door! Looking back, it was way more weird than it was creepy, but still scary in the moment, especially since it was the one and only time I had ever had sleep paralysis.

Here’s a story of my sleep paralysis. When I was younger I always heard sirens as I went to sleep. I was always having nightmares and it eventually lead to sleep paralysis. I was stuck to my bed and there was a shadowy figure looking over me. At first it was scary but it happened so often that I got used to it. I’d be stuck to my bed struggling to breathe and I was so calm, like “oh it’s happening again”. I used to think sleep paralysis, struggling to breathe and hearing sirens while drifting of to sleep was normal but when I told people about this they were VERY confused and concerned. When I asked if it was normal for them aswell they said “no... are you okay?”. I went through some scary shit as a kid and I’m honestly so suprised I haven’t turned into a cereal killer after this experience,

My best friend suffers from sleep paralysis pretty often. She went to a doctor and they explained it to her. So when we sleep, our bodies are mostly paralysed to make sure we don't do stuff while we are sleeping. Movement (such as sleepwalking) is the body breaking through it. Sleep paralysis is kinda the opposite, you are half awake, half asleep and the paralysis is in effect until you fully wake up. That's also why people are still dreaming at that point.

Also, I'm pretty sure there's a link between sleep paralysis, lucid dreaming and a bunch of sleep disorders such as insomnia.

i actually know why sleep paralysis happens! basically sleep paralysis only happens when you're already having a nightmare, whether you remember it or not. when your body jolts awake it takes your brain a little bit to actually understand what's going on so you're still paralyzed (when you're in like deep deep rem dream sleep your body gets basically paralyzed to prevent you from like... rolling yourself off a cliff or whatever) so basically half of your brain is telling you you're awake and you gotta go while the other half is still sending out the nightmare and keeping it paralyzed... it's really scary stuff man

The science on sleep paralysis that I know; When you sleep your body goes into paralysis so if you are like running in a dream you won’t run in ur bed and hurt yourself. So when you wake up maybe from a dream, your body doesn’t wake up , just your mind so you’re conscious and aware but your body is trying not to move so you don’t get hurt. I don’t understand the way you can see spiritual things. It’s one of those things no one knows how to explain. Like we don’t know how or why it happens
@jenconte6912

So the science behind sleep paralysis is when you sleep, your body shuts down all your muscles so you don't physically react to your dreams. But sometimes, your brain wakes up before you your body does and your dream pool out into consciousness.

Everyone looks at me crazy when I tell them I’m really good at lucid dreaming. Such a fun and actually pretty introspective talent. Sometimes I fully control the dream other times I just stay lucid and kind of let the dream play out. A year after my dad died I “woke up” in a dream, and for some reason I knew I was going somewhere to see my dad. I was in this neighborhood that I’ve never seen before but felt so familiar. Until I got to this one house I knew my dad was inside. I went in the house and it was like a maze every turn led me to a new door and I knew exactly where to go until I came to the last door. I took a second to collect my feelings because if you want to stay lucid you need to keep your emotions in check so you don’t wake up. I opened the door and my dad was standing there in his prime (he died after battling cancer for 10 years, so the last I saw him was him at his most sick) and I’m thinking to myself ok chill kassy don’t start crying just yet. And he comes gives me a hug and whispers in my ear and and that point I’m bawling my eyes out and woke up crying and to this day I still don’t know what he said. Don’t let me get started on sleep paralysis. I’ve had that multiple times in my life. The first time I was terrified so I did a lot of research. Then I realized you could use it to get into my lucid dreams. It’s so crazy how your mind can hallucinate like that while you’re half awake. Anyways it’s called the Wake Induced Lucid Dreaming where you kind of meditate into sleep while still being conscious. Because sleep paralysis happens when your physical body goes to “sleep” and it produces the chemical in your body that paralyzes you while you sleep as a safety precaution so you don’t act out your dreams, like people who suffer from sleep disorders like sleep walking their brain doesnt make that chemical, anyway, so you get sleep paralysis when your mind is actually still awake but your body is sleeping. In the most simple way I can put it. And your mind thinks your sleeping so it produces dreams but since your eyes are open and you are aware they are kind of dreams that are overlay your reality, which are hallucinations. And when you add fear to the mix that’s when your brain starts creating scarier and scarier hallucinations. So I haven’t heard what your sleep paralysis was yet other than you mentioning the being paralyzed part. But your motor functions like muscle movements are paralyzed but obviously your heart is still beating and your lungs are still breathing, but because the rest of your body has zero sensation you are hyper aware of the weight of your body on your lungs and that’s why most people state they felt like someone or something is holding them down or sitting on them lol or just feel super heavy and hearing your heart beat can be interpreted as footsteps in the room. I personally had a fan over my head and my hair was hitting my face it felt like someone was breathing on me. Etc. and when you start thinking all these things that’s when your brain goes deeper into hallucinations fueled by fear. But how you use this seemingly terrifying experience to go into a lucid dream is pretty simple. If you understand what’s going on and control your emotions you can control the “hallucinations”, really dreams, into something more pleasant and since your already lucid you just need to guide it in the right directions. And then you’re flying in the air, bending the clouds into shapes and eating fireworks all the fun stuff you can imagine.

im super prone to sleep paralysis, to the point where i experience it at its worst most days. i used to be soooo terrified that when i was finally able to wake up i'd have cold sweats and my heart would be pounding out my chest. did a lot of research in to it to teach myself techniques to 'escape' as such - ugh worst bit is i bloody love a good cat nap

Amy Lee who? Damn girl, you got a great voice. Love the horror island tours. I think the best island I’ve ever seen is from the dude that works for Disney. I forget the island name but he’s got the two big reindeer looking fossils up high outside the museum and the poison apple forest. Please tour that one😁✌🏻👻🎃
