I visited the island myself, and I noticed something interesting. I’m not sure whether it was an intended connection or not, but it’s cool nonetheless. The Diner’s basement has a severed head on the ground, it’s the head of a woman, and she’s wearing a wedding veil. Then, of course, there is the house that looks like a church, which appears to be decorated for a wedding. So, even though the bride didn’t show up to the wedding, all the guests still ate well! (if you know what I mean 😉)

It's definitely intended, there was kind of that theme in the Hitokui Village on New Leaf for the DS, one of the things that is on the ground is a wedding outfit. It's nice to see that the creator decided to be consistent when he made Hitokui island, only with the mass customization ability he managed to make the island much more elaborate utilizing all the slots.

I started learning Japanese last month so I thought I would translate some of the text for everyone watching. I think the painting set in the hospital says "please kill", "please murder" or something like that. Outside house 4, the sign says "niku", which means meat/flesh. I think the most interesting was that the chef is named Ed Gein, which is also the name of an American serial killer who made furniture and keepsakes out of his victim's body parts! This is certainly the weirdest way I have learned new vocabulary so far.

I agree, the hospital creeped me out the most. This is so brilliantly designed! The hospital room with all the beds had lost items by the side of them which made you wonder what happened to the patients. Very cool. I also love how they uploaded the dream after 3:00am to get the super freaky background music.

First house is “pig sausage” only because when human meat is cooked properly, it will taste like pig meat. I just went to this island and there is another house that you can’t get to and the last house (with all the candles in the attic) has a whole, WAY creepier room to the right and the back room is different.

I love that the creator of Hitokui Village went on to make Hitokui Island. I follow the creator's tumblr and I have to say that the fact that the creator utilized all eight slots to make an incredibly detailed island that drew my eye to take in all the details really impressed me. If I could accurately describe the island I would say it's a nightmarish work of art. Though I think that Gnosis comes close as a second to be just as bone chilling. Also I visited the island again it appears as though he has updated the island fairly recently.

Great, when I get this game, I want to make a "laboratory" room like that as well (along with a video game room) in my house, but I want to make the rest of my town look like an amusement park, so no face pillow (the area where I will live will be a sci-fi area, and there will also be a fantasy area, a dinosaur area (complete with dig site), a nature area, and an "around the world" area).

They got the items properly with time travelling and these houses are not villiger houses but player homes. You can play with a different Nintendo account on the same island and get a new house everytime there is a new character :)
