So unless you want "leedstown" to keep coming back when the well runs dry, I recommend OP (original poster) either finding a job or directing the person to the nearest social services agency. Somewhere, someone is going to be blessed by this. I volunteer at an organization that operates two homeless shelters. At a few times in our history, this would have been a lifesaver for us. We currently have all the rolling stock we need, so I won't be entering. I will just encourage the readers of the comments, if you are able, find a homeless shelter in your area that is in need. Then do something to help. A car, bed linens, toiletries, cash, they are all needed and all help. Thanks for helping Scott.

Scott, as I am not in the USA and I would far prefer this to go to someone far more needy. That being said what about a situation where you get "sponsors" or "donations" and help offset the build? Go through it and bring everything up to new or as new as a 13 year old car could be. I would be down to help in that arena

I know there are a lot of people out there struggling with high rent and high used vehicle prices. One bad decision buying a car they can't afford, a lemon, or one where Somebody's been here before or corrosion issues can really put a person behind. I hope this will be a godsend to someone in need. You may appear to be a hard, cold person who delights in haters tears on the surface but we know you've got a big heart underneath it all. I bet even the gnomes whisper about your patience in teaching when you're not listening. 😁

I already have a high mileage Civic that I keep as a "beater" car, so I won't enter - but I HIGHLY recommend one. Parts are cheap, repair advice plentiful, and chances are it will always get you there. I've never had it quit where I couldn't fix mine with a screwdriver and vice grips.

Something I'd do on this car, put a lien on the title to prevent someone immediately selling it for meth. I'd also impress on them that regular maintenance of the car is a component part in getting their life together. ( RE Looking ahead is a good thing . )

I don’t need a new used car I just want my truck back!! 2022 Nissan Frontier purchased new off the showroom floor July 7th. First Michigan snowstorm on Nov 17th someone spun out merging onto 131 semi swerved to miss it and sandwiched me between it and the guard rail for 20-30yards. Driver side curtain airbags deployed. Insurance is considering it high risk of being totaled and towed it to Detroit for inspection…. I’ve been very impatiently waiting for the call to tell me whether or not it’s totaled… interest rates have went up a lot the last few months. Mad respect to you and what you do. Congratulations to whoever wins this car!!

Looks like the sort of thing I'd buy. I love high mileage cars as personal vehicles. I have a 98 Civic with 255k and an 06 Accord with 235k. I'd apply, but I have 3 cars already and I'm looking at a truck, so I definitely don't need a free car. To whoever does get it, routine maintenance is the key to a long service life. These Hondas are super simple to do all routine maintenance on.

I've got a 2010, and yeah these things last forever, as long as you don't add extra holes. 200,000 miles and the only thing I've replaced is the fuel pump, and those damned visors. So I clearly don't need one, good on you for helping someone out.

Giving away free cars is a good idea. Even better idea can be to have someone of your viewers to do a repair with your supervision on a car he's going to take with him when it finished. Can be even going to auction with you where he can buy something he wants to have but can't afford in a good drivable condition.
