Lovely conversation!! Jeff Foster is such a helpful voice ❤… speaking and writing! And ah the Alzheimer part. Yummm. I spent time with my mom she she lost faculties like that and it was so lovely. Like aspects of her way of being previously “covered up” with stuff like a preference for humility such that it was hard to get a sense of her preferences and what her unique human tone really sounded like. Now she would smile and almost jump with delight when she had a visit. She said I love you and she expressed strong dislike and laughed at stuff. I told her she had been a doctor helping so many women also in other countries and such and she exclaimed all excited “oh really?? That is so great! I was so good at that wasn’t I??” Sort of the polar opposite of her pre A stance 😅😍. When I came to visit by the end she would say aaaww it is so great that I have a sister who can stand me and cares for me like this! (She did not have a sister, and I believe there is basically nobody who could not “stand” my mom. We laughed so much and just like Jeff describes, going along with her reality was such a lovely way to hang out. Giggling at nothing and enjoying surprises such as the decorations that had been there forever and a meal at the typical mealtime. Reality basically… Cat reality😂 🎯yes.

I am wondering, while hearing Jeff's story (I'm only 20 mins in) what his diet was like during that long and tumultuous period of mental and spiritual straining. I recently heard Michelle Hurn's experience of being severely anorexic, and yet now, since she essentially went on a carnivore diet, her mental state is now all fine. Yes, she is a runner, an ultra-marathon runner (recently won a 50 mile race, or something like that) but mentally she is no longer 'crazed' as she was when anorexic. She's steady, clear, and much wiser. Seems like those nutrients in meat made ALL THE DIFFERENCE to her mental function, and thus, her bodily health and physical competence. Hey Jonny, maybe see if you can get Michelle Hurn (H U R N) on your podcast. Thanks for your work.
