First saw the Fred scene out of context and thought it was funny as hell. Then I watched the movie and it just felt very sad... Also, they were gonna use specific contortionist actors to play the vamps, there's some proof-of-concept videos floating around of them and DAMN they are far creepier then the CG freaks!

Carnage Counts possibly, though the reveal of an intelligent society might have shocked people about with the earlier representations as more zombie-ish creatures. And maybe it’s because I’ve watched the movie far more times than read the book, but I feel that the scenes were definitely more terrifying in the film. I just wonder if it could’ve kept up the terror without showing too much such as in the bathtub scene. Not that the creatures were bad, they had great design and were terrifying for sure but the one scene that always gets me the most has to be the bathtub one with the creatures roaring outside

Many of people have said that the ending is astounishingliy bad due to the main character stupidly commit suicide even there are many option's to escape the lab. The ending also deviates the mythicness of the novel and the author of the book said that he dissapointed about the ending.
