I went to school for user experience design and they taught us about the importance of accessibility for vision impairment. Red/green colorblindness is the most common visual impairment people can have and it's also the EASIEST TO ACCOUNT FOR IN DIGITAL DESIGN. First rule of which is to NOT USE GREEN AND RED FOR VITAL INFORMATION. It's why massively popular things like Overwatch and Rocket League use orange and blue. Most color-based game mechanics will also use secondary indicators like shapes or patterns, just like how in Among Us they added shape icons to the wiring task.

Okay, hear me out my theory is that Stinger Flynn was a army veteran who committed several war crimes and was on the run but got distracted by a hot octopus (I know he's a squid) and wanted to do the deed but her boyfriend Stinger Man who is weird cuz his girlfriend is a octopus and he is a squid, so for revenge he sets up a enormous factory (kindergarden) to get richer than Stinger Man to win over his girlfriend but he gets impatient and kills Stinger Man and makes him sign the deed and hand over everything he owns but... due to the death of her boyfriend that hit octopus commits self-die and now Stinger Flynn has nothing to live for and wants peace but then he sees a hot human and now wants to be a human and so the story continues. I said on the very first part that I felt like this game was a cheap attempt to grab virality for merch selling purposes (ala Poppy Playtime). By this point, I honestly feel like it has some interesting bits, but it either reuses them to death (like having the characters peeking around doors or corners) or buries them beneath endless, meaningless puzzle solving. And the way the puzzles are presented in this game is just plain terrible. There's absolutely no subtly, no attempt at naturally integrating them into the story or mechanics. It's just room after room of puzzles. If you need to put the solution method on the wall in huge pictorial signs, or have a voice monologue about it for a minute straight, that is NOT good game design. If the player enters a space and feels literal dread at yet another puzzle (52:23), that is NOT good game design. By this point it feels like the devs are just throwing in every puzzle they can think of to draw out the game series' length and make money off it.

Also, the game barely mentions it. Your lost kid isn't even a character, just a flimsy excuse for this to be set in a kindergarten. Which it barely even resembles anyway, making it even easier to forget what your objective is.
