I love Mary the mother of Jesus dearly, no matter how or in any way,l expressed my love for her, JESUS, will NEVER be offended rather he will love me more for loving His mother, and that is what l want; for Jesus to love me more and be closed to Him.I believe this is the interest of all Catholics.

Only Jesus obeyed God perfectly and that qualifies him to become our savior. Everyone else including Mary, had sinned and needed Jesus' sacrifice to obtain forgiveness.

Mary’s only enemy is Satan. Those who say she was a sinner like you and me, and not a mediator are just following the inspired teachings of Christ, the prophets and the apostles. They are friends of Jesus, not enemies of Mary.

Mary is the Mother of All Grace. It is through Mary that Grace entered into the World. If she would have said NO to the angel then she would not have been pregnant with Infinite Grace (Jesus Christ), thus no one could be Saved. In this way she directly played a redemptive role (Co-Redemptrix) in our Salvation which is why it says in Genesis 3:15 the Woman's Seed, steps on Satan's Head. She was and still is a conduit for Gods Grace and Truth, whom is a Person, born through her womb, Jesus Christ.

@Gazdo0112 жыл бұрын
If you are a "beloved disciple", you stand at the feet of the Cross, and you accept Mary as your Mother, and take Her to live with you, in your home. That's why the devotion to the Immaculate Heart is so important. You will NEVER be closer to Jesus. When you pray the Rosary, each decade is offered TO JESUS, and we meditate, WITH MARY, on a Sacred Mystery. Google search "Sorrowful Mysteries" (we recite those on Fridays) and say a Rosary TODAY, to remember Jesus' Passion. You won't be dissapointed

They are not "dead", because their souls live on. Saints are in Heaven, as we speak. They might be "dead" in the flesh, but frankly, they are more ALIVE than both of us, because they share God's glory in the beatific vision.
@mpenaco12 жыл бұрын
The soul lives on but they are not in God's kingdom until the resurrection. In fact, Paul made this clear in 1 Cor. 15:22-23 when he said: "For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. But each in his own turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him."

@remrubram13 жыл бұрын
@mpenaco now this is a good question. :) because Christ wants to let you know that we are a family, that we must have a relationship not only with Him, but also with our fellow brothers and sisters coz we are a church. and because He is the Mediator, there are no boundaries between Heaven and Earth, between us here and our brothers and sisters in heaven because He is the Vine, we are the branches. This gives witness to how powerful and pure awesome Jesus' mediation as God and for all.
@mpenaco12 жыл бұрын
When you believe a being like Mary has the ability to deliver your soul from hell, can mediate between you and God, is the gate of heaven and earth, can dispense God's graces to whomsoever she pleases, you are attributing to her the power that belongs to God alone. That is not veneration by any stretch but an idolatrous worship of another god, which God himself expressly prohibits under pain of death.

"Hail Mary, Full of Grace, the Lord is with Thee. Blessed are thou amongst women, and Blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, PRAY FOR US sinners, now and at the hour of our death." The first part is directly from the Gospel of Luke. We mention Jesus, we mention God... then we ask Her to PRAY FOR US, and finally acknowledge the fact we are SINNERS. Can you find ANYTHING wrong with this ? Absolutely not. Plus, each decade is associated with a Sacred Mystery about Christ
@mpenaco13 жыл бұрын
@remonramos The Church is the pillar and foundation of truth that's why we would expect her to defend and be true to God's word in Scripture. The true Church does make her own rules but keeps and watches that the truth already revealed through the prophets and the apostles are preserved.

No, what qualifies Him to be our Savior is that He is DIVINE. A mere human being could not SAVE humankind: only God can. Mary obeyed perfectly, with her HUMAN and finite will. We believe Mary remained sin free all her life, by special Grace. That is not a dogma, but still part of traditional Catholic belief.

The closer we are to Mary, the closer we are to God. Mary can be compared to the Moon, which doesn't possess light by itself, but from the Sun. Mary's glory is merely the reflection of Her Son's own glory. Without Jesus, Mary is nothing. A couple of years ago, I was like you, and didn't understand all this hype about Mary. As a Catholic, I accepted it, without enthousiasm, thinking there is probably something I don't get. One day, I started praying the Rosary, and I never felt closer to Jesus.
@felixboyles17512 жыл бұрын
In agreement ako kuyang. Kuha mo.
@mpenaco12 жыл бұрын
That's what many catholics would say: that they felt closer to Jesus by praying the rosary. But you know what, the scribes and pharisees had a similar experience. They felt they were closer to God by following their traditions. But what did Jesus say to them? "'These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me."
@mpenaco12 жыл бұрын
How about Psalm 51:5? Is there any meaning you attach to it that excuses Mary from being a sinner at conception?

@remonramos Catholics celebrate death anniversaries too. Do you do the same for Mary as you do for her birthday?
@Gazdo0112 жыл бұрын
The intercession of fellow Christians-which is what the saints in heaven are-also clearly does not interfere with Christ’s unique mediatorship because in the four verses immediately preceding 1 Timothy 2:5, Paul says that Christians should interceed: "First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all men, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life, godly and respectful in every way.
@Azygos198611 жыл бұрын
I'm not attributing my Salvation to anything other than Jesus Christ the God-Man and his Body, which is the Church. His Mother (whom Birthed his Body, making her the Mother of the Church, that is, Christ Body) is a Holy Intercessor that prays for us to her dearly beloved Son and shows us the Fruit of her Womb, Jesus Christ. She helps us to have a personal relationship with Christ, our Salvation. Just as the Presbyters help us along with the rest of Christ Body, especially the Saints.

Yesterday, it was the fiest of the Transfiguration... Moses was dead, yet he interacted with the living on the mountain during the Transfiguration. Was that detestable?

the essence of God's commandment concerning images is this: “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God..." (Ex. 20:4-5) If there is any exception, it must come from God, not from the minds of sinful men.
@felixboyles17512 жыл бұрын
Yan nga eh, if you worship the image. We do not worship the image of the Holy Mother or to other images. You people always insist we do. Do you understand?
@ScriptureOnlyIsTruth2 жыл бұрын
@@felixboyles1751 The question is do you make images? The answer is yes. Do you bow down to those images? The answer is yes. Both acts God prohibit in his commandment written in Ex. 20. That's up to you if you continue defying that holy commandment.

When you attribute to a human being the powers of God like the ability to hear and respond to prayers, the ability to intercede between God and man and the ability to save souls in hell, you elevate that human to the level of a god. It is obviously wrong but millions of catholics including yourself believe in them.

Yes the dead cannot repent according to Scripture: "The dead do not praise the LORD, Nor do any who go down into silence" (Ps. 115:17)
@Gazdo0112 жыл бұрын
We'll, since the Catholic Church traces it's roots back to the first century, I believe it is rationnal to say SHE is the Mother Church. Saint Ignatius was the FIRST CENTURY bishop of Antioch. He was appointed by John the Apostles himself. What did he say: Wherever the bishop shall appear, there let the multitude [of the people] also be; even as, wherever Jesus Christ is, THERE IS THE CATHOLIC CHURCH.
@mpenaco12 жыл бұрын
If we are to be made alive at Christ's coming according to Paul, doesn't that mean we are dead and Christ will raise us up at his coming? How can you bring to life a living person?
@remrubram13 жыл бұрын
@mpenaco we have the commemoration of her Dormition but we celebrate it more as the Feast of her Assumption. no pun here, im just answering your question... and I dont expect for you to believe it too :). basically, yes, the feast of the assumption August 15th. :)

@mpenaco thank you for proving Mary's assumption into heaven :)
@mpenaco13 жыл бұрын
@remonramos I just did. Paul in 1 Cor. 15:23 teaches that we will all be resurrected at Christ's coming. But Scripture also reveals to us that a few individuals are already in heaven. You mentioned Moses and Elijah. My point is, while we await our resurrection at the second coming of Christ to be with the Lord forever, these few individuals have already been raised in advance of that time making them exceptions to this statement of Paul.
@remrubram13 жыл бұрын
@mpenaco well ours is actually made of wood and fiberglass, not stone :) . And when calling to Mary, or the saints in heaven shows the power of Jesus as being the Mediator. for He is the Vine and we are the branches. our communication with God's beloved saints (Mary as an example) shows how powerful Jesus' Mediation and how He is truly the Vine, that we are all connected because of Him. as for the statues, that's a different topic.

If you call on those who offered our prayers to God in Rev 5:8, can they hear you? They are praying for their fellow Christians because that`s what every christian must do but do they have the ability to hear your prayer when you ask for their help? When 1000 people ask for a saint`s help at the same time in their room in silence, can that saint hear those prayers? I really doubt it.
@Gazdo0112 жыл бұрын
Basing itself on the mystery of the incarnate Word, the seventh ecumenical council at Nicaea (787) justified against the iconoclasts the veneration of icons - of Christ, but also of the Mother of God, the angels, and all the saints. By becoming incarnate, the Son of God introduced a new "economy" of images.
@mpenaco13 жыл бұрын
@remonramos So you have no answer to my simple questions: How do you know that Mary can hear you when you pray to her in silence? Is she omniscient like God?
@Gazdo0112 жыл бұрын
If you want to a "beloved disciple", Mary is your Mother. That is what Jesus said on the Cross, and John stands for all humanity. You want to be a Christian, you want to be Christ-like? You want to be in the Church of God? Learn that this Church is the BODY OF CHRIST, and if you're gonna call yourself a Christian, you better be ready for a theiosis, a "Christianification." If you become One with Jesus, then Mary becomes your Mother.
@remrubram13 жыл бұрын

"When 1000 people ask for a saint`s help at the same time in their room in silence, can that saint hear those prayers? I really doubt it." That's because you see Heaven with your earthly logic. The space/time limitations you experience HERE are not part of the heavenly realm. There is no time in eternity.
@Gazdo0112 жыл бұрын
Made alive... IN THE FLESH. Mary never died, and was assumed bodily into Heaven.
@Gazdo0112 жыл бұрын
"ONLY God has the power to hear"... If being in heaven were like being in the next room, then of course these objections would be valid. A mortal, unglorified person in the next room would indeed suffer the restrictions imposed by the way space and time work in our universe. But the saints are not in the next room, and they are not subject to the time/space limitations of this life.
@mpenaco12 жыл бұрын
So your church interprets Scripture for you? So how does your church interpret Psalm 51:5 and 1 John 1:8-10 in light of the teaching that Mary was without sin from the moment of her conception?
@mpenaco12 жыл бұрын
You asked "Where in the Bible do you find the word Bible?" That question can be turned right back at you and your church. Where in the Bible do find the words "immaculate", "co-redemptrix", "mediatrix", "gate of heaven", "queen of heaven and earth", "assumption", "purgatory" and "papal infallibility"?
