@@eastterminalrailway5975Brian, I'm so happy for the update. By the way, I came up with an idea. In the city where I live, there always seems to be people wanting to get rid of gravel for free, and maybe are willing to pay to dump it, so maybe you could gather some in a big pile, near where you want to load those train cars. You could pile up the gravel to for a ramp for loading up box cars. If you could get the right boulders or concrete barriers, then you cold form a nice platform along a siding. All of the nearby businesses with no rail could then be served. Boulders could also be used to shore up the stream/ditch. By the way again, I can't remember if I said it, but maybe the bakery would let you park your engine and rail equipment inside the fenced area.
@eugenetswong Жыл бұрын
@@eastterminalrailway5975 I just thought of something else. Maybe you could offer to build a fenced area around the tracks on the nearby property. This would be an opportunity to store freight cars at their loading door for more warehousing. This means that the freight cars are parked there indefinitely.

It was a good time This is a journey that has been taken and has many station stops 🚉 . As such, each station stop picks up more and more great people 😀 👍 that has now become the ETR Nation. The kindness and support for a farther and son for trying to build a railroad on their own is overwhelming. It shows how much a dream can mean not just to you, but inspire others to take that journey and follow that dream along with you. Don't feel down or disappointed my friend, you can make this happen. Your ETR NATION is with you. The next station stop🚉 is coming up and the doors🚪 will open. Stay safe my friend, Richard Bause

This is my only channel subscription I check for frequently and watch right away. I was concerned that you quit the project. You have been depressed lately. Not good. I came here for a happy Brian to give me good news. It has been a year since you last showed the loco running. I so wanted to see it run north to south on your whole line. If you want to come to South Jersey I can take you to a VERY successful shortline very similar to yours that is likely the last in the country to run Baldwins every day for a living. The owner is very railfan friendly. They have just started a separate line for tourist trips on track that was not active for passenger service for many years. They will soon have their 0-6-0 running they have totally restored. I might be able to get you a shop tour.

Just about read to turn in for the night and think to myself I'd not had an ETR vid show up lately and here one posted 3 days ago. First off belated Christmas and New Years greetings and glad to see that things are in a holding pattern rather than other less pleasant reasons for no updates. Been with ETR since the day the first video dropped with 2 guys hacking into a jungle of vegetation that we were assured had rails in there somewhere to this point where there's an honest to gosh cleared ROW. Mission changed a bit from the original but you're rolling with the changes to improvise and adapt and I'm still pulling for the ETR to make it work.

In life we need a pause, and contemplate our next move. Sometimes silence can be a healing balm that helps us reset our lives. Brian I was wondering why we we haven’t heard from you or Graham , hoping all is well. I know you both are busy guys and it’s hard to post / make videos and work full time. We here @ ETR nation are rooting for you and your son. Glad we got the update and how things are going, but for me it’s never a let down. What separates you from Danny, Jawtooth, Delay in Block ect is that you bought an abandoned railroad and made a video of that process. Not only that , but your equipment purchases, trips, repairing and working on the railroad & equipment. You have a lot of knowledge and wisdom. You share that with us and your journey . We are right here with you. There is nothing wrong with Danny, Jawtooth or Delay in Block for that matter , it’s just your style that makes it relatable and genuine . God Bless🙏

Honestly, this was the BEST video you have ever made. You have earned my respect. You know, there is another youtuber who decided to start a project but he and his wife decided it would all be funded by youtube and people sent their money to them, and some months were good for them and others not so good. They were spending the money on BS stuff like an airplane and flying lessons and they weren't going forward with their project and people picked up on this real quick. Neither of them had a job nor did it seem they wanted one. And people unloaded on them. They got harassed, people called the cops on them, people showed up at their property and when the lockdowns happened, they made a video shaming their subscribers for not supporting them enough. I seen the video a couple weeks ago, its 2 years old now. And now they are crying cyber bullying, and woe is us and boo hoo, and they are putting up websites about bullying and lying saying this cyber bullying has happened to thousands of content creators (No actually it hasn't, it happened to them) and they are going on and on how they are the victim and everyone else are the problem..... You are going about this the right and honest way. You take responsibility for yourself. You have a job. You aren't accepting anyone's money. You are being a standup guy and I appreciate that more than you can possibly imagine. If your rail venture takes off maybe I'll invest in it. LOL.. Hats off to you for being straight up and watch out for them train gremlins. They are good at hiding in odd places and coming out when you least expect it....... 😅😆🤣

From my own experience as a mature analog techie. The one defining thing about any business plan is that it can change very often. Also, it can turn out that some or all of the good idea/s you start with don't fit with clients. So, you have to research and keep your eyes and ears open for opportunities. Success rarely works straight out of the box, it can take years to achieve. Keep the faith.
