That was not at all negative, sounds like Adam has a bit of an addiction to games and struggles with maintaining a balance, or at the very least has not felt it to be time well spent. Addiction is something personal that he needs to figure out for himself. Like I love eso but my family, work and health come first and I play a couple times a week for an hour or so, but some people feel compelled to play with all the free time they have, depriving themselves of sleep, social interaction and the physical activity that would make them happier and healthier.

People come to a channel knowing what to expect, it's why so many people would rather go to McDonalds while traveling because they know what there going to get, and they don't know if they'll like any of the other options.

@@KeeseGaming Yeah, Like how am I supposed to tell someone "Hey check out this ESO guide from Brah We Got This" right? He should have just made this video, just like this. But rather then telling everyone that his changing up the channel, tell them that he's not uploading to this channel anymore, that he want to do other things. And ask everyone to subscribe to a new channel of his. Like, if you only got a few hundred subs then changing up your channel isn't likely to be so bad and can even help. But when you got thousands of subs, you've already gotten a footing out there and people know your brand. Tlo_oly tried changing up his channel to get more views, and he almost destroyed his channel. And all he did was try to make longer videos, then tried making shorts, but the content was the same though.

I get where you are coming from. Though I think it wasn't words wisely picked, this is meant in a broader sense, and as I see it, most men these days are lost and pushed around between a few select roles that make them 'valuable' to others, without making the men themselves feel valued and held in the regards that would make them happy. Men, everyone says, have it all, all the power, all the money, and all the privilege, but the truth is, the overwhelming majority of us do not. Many give up. So, some emotional support, that is what I feel like, is probably coming on this channel.

Personally, I hate it when creators do this. If you are going to change the direction of your channel, you should just make a new channel. People follow channels because of the content, when said content is going to change, then your desire to continue subscribing to a channel changes. I appreciate that he is giving a heads up, but at the same time, you can still promote your new channel on your old one and people who are interested can go check you out. I feel like tactics like this, just bank on subscribers who don't clean out their subscription list often enough to pick up on the new direction.

@@rdavid369 " I feel like tactics like this, just bank on subscribers who don't clean out their subscription list often enough to pick up on the new direction." true, but remember that when it comes to youtube ad revenue and payouts, subscriber count has nothing to do with that. your paychecks as a youtuber are based solely on your watch count for a video as well as watch time per person. so he could have a million subscribers, but if they arent watching the new content, then it isnt technically a net gain for him. not to mention that the algorithm considers how many views your videos get and weighs that against your total sub count (10% of your total subs in views on each video is the general rule of thumb ive heard youtubers aim for) so if someone has a high sub count, but a low view count per video, then the youtube algorithm considers that to be an underperforming channel and probably wont promote it to newer people as often. so him using his existing sub base really only benefits him if all of those other chips fall into place as well.

I completely agree with you. I had a feeling the third time I heard him mention God in this video that he was converting it to some religious channel and then he started talking about men (himself included specifically) being too pacifist and immediately knew what he was doing. He's taking an already established base and pushing an agenda that men should be leading the world. It is something that many men use from the Bible (gen 2:18, 1 Peter 3:7, Titus 2:3-5, 1 Timothy 2:11-15, and 1 Corinthians 11:3 just to start naming a few)
