But the word "submissive" rubs me the wrong way in this context. For me submission is equal to worship. I submit to God, but I serve my husband and he serves me in different ways.

You can’t do it all something’s will suffer. I am looked down on so much because I chose to be a stay at home mum. My mother was the opposite a self employed business woman who chased money and success and I suffered. I was so lonely and always felt 2nd to her businesses. I never wanted my children to feel that way, I want to be here for everything they do and go through. Because of my choice yes I haven’t ever gone after a career and I am totally dependent on my husband. I am judged a lot for that

I like ur podcasts- setting a good example on success for women who try to balance a family life with their careers is great. With all due respect, I must say that some of the things said were a bit weird for me, the perception on subordinates at work is strange, would u like it if a company/employer u worked for/with said this: u have to encourage them even though u pay them to do this???!!! being lucky enough to own ur own business doesn't entitle u to belittle a job done well, we don't own people just because we employ them. Also, it is understandable to have a certain view on the dynamics of an immigrant household in terms of gender roles but it is something else to direct the conversation into prompting women to think of ways they need to "serve" men, maintaining ur figure for example is a very strange thing a man can ask of a woman because there are many reasons this might not be sustained as we age or due to disease. i personally find it superficial and shallow to treat a connection between a man & a woman like that. again, no offense, i am just expressing my opinion.
