Oh, Kacey! :( I'm so sorry to hear that a tornado hit your hometown but I am so thankful to hear that your family was spared. We had a derecho go through my hometown and dealt with 100-145 mph straight-line winds for 45 minutes. We didn't have power for a week and it took a month before we could function as a community BUT the outpouring of support, assistance, and aid from our fellow Americans was INCREDIBLE. Your family is about to see the very best of humanity and God will do amazing things through ordinary people. I will be following closely to see/hear about the progress in your hometown. Kacey, I'm sorry for the loss of your friend. Living in tornado country in Kansas, we see the devastation frequently. I have been fortunate to not have any of my residences damaged over the years. I have been in a car several times feeling the fury of the storm but, thankfully was on the fringes of the worst part. We have grown to respect what can happen by these storms. I know full well what straight line wind or tornadoes can do. Prayers for all in Kentucky and other affected States.

You are still in our prayers, Kacey, along with Cory's family and all the others who lost so much in this storm. It's still hard to watch your video without breaking down. Although I live in Texas now, my family is from that general area. My mother was born in Princeton and I had two first cousins who lived in Kentucky years ago. One lived in a little place called Bardwell. My uncle worked with the IC railroad there. My other KY cousin lived in Bowling Green when we were both just young kids. I vaguely remember visiting her there when we were pre-schoolers. I have been to Bowling Green once since then about 6 or 7 years ago. Pretty town. I hope that folks there are getting their lives back together but, of course, nothing can replace the loved ones lost in the storm. I hope that 2022 will be a better year for you and yours and everyone who has suffered losses in 2021. Take care. Scott

I just saw on you tube Kentucky including Bowling Green is getting hit with storms again. The whole southeast has had bad storms since Thursday. Everyone needs to pray for these areas.
