Linda is a sad case of seeking for fulfillment outside herself. She's sold her soul for money, she spends it all buying bags, shoes, houses and cars and she's still not happy. She has a son but she still wants a husband because she thinks once she has that she will be happy and fulfilled but even if she gets it, it will never be enough. The answer is to look inward and find purpose and stop trying to find happiness in material things (including partners).

In my view confident and resourceful women like Linda who appears to have done and is still doing things a lot of folks think isn’t possible are a beacon of light and hope to many, male and female alike. However, display of material stuff might attract sugar coated tongued gold diggers. By the time she’s bounced around a few such dudes, in a conservative society like 9ja! (Even in the west, were folks are less judgemental, but skeptical, of ladies, in the public eye who flaunt their wealth, none the less) getting a good husband material would be tricky. It is similar for men too, though outwardly it might not look so. The older a Man gets and the more financially stable he is, he would be careful about his dealings with women. I know of some dudes who have women at their beck and call but are careful how much they reveal or potential access the women would have to their money. They just make sure she is comfortable. In a nutshell, trust issues become a bigger matter, especially, if you are predisposed to flaunting your wealth/trappings of wealth on social media. It’s a horrible feeling, to have at the back of your mind that, the person lying next to you or the father or mother of your child was only attracted to you largely for financial gain. It hardens your heart, so you struggle to show unconditional love. Not saying it’s impossible. Too much flaunting of very nice stuff or “first world challenges”, is a risky place to be. Maybe the husband search stuff should have been amongst friends or associates, just like you do business, based on reputable recommendation. Unless you can’t trust the close associates...
