I disagree. It's a great positive mindset to have. We all need to learn to live in the moment...in an ever changing world.

@@hopefaithpeacejoy3723 a positive mindset can also create a false sense of security and suggest denial. It's ok, a totally natural human coping mechanism. Living in the now moment I find is the best way to cope with bad situations esp when we do not know the outcomes. I myself find being in denial of bad situations isn't helpful as sooner or later I'm going to have to face them if they do happen and I find it a far worst let down if I'd previously been in denial, that causes for me like a shattering affect. (thinking never having to go through treatment again may be unrealistic at this point and may lead to a big let down if things do not go as you want). IF you do have to go through more treatment in the future.. you CAN do it as you have already done it and got through it. You are stronger than you think. As Matt pointed out, if you'd been told that the treatment was longer, you would have done it as you would have set your mind to do that. A lot of things our impacted by how we think, I think the whole Baxter thing is being ""made worst" for you as Baxter is connected to more negative thoughts (I think you tend to want to be more in denial and having Baxter attached, makes it much harder to be in denial about your situation), hence as soon as you get it off, you suddenly feel much better. You can let go of your situation more and not have to think about it so much when not attached to Baxter. (I don't think you have reached that acceptance point of having cancer yet. Acceptance isn't about thinking that one wont get better or recover but being okay with whatever happens and having trust in being as they are supposed to be).

Just FYI however, at least here in the states with health insurance the way it is a lot of people with cancer can't put themselves first and people go broke trying to afford the Cancer Treatments that are available and still have to work through cancer treatments because they have to pay their bills and not working is not an option for a lot of folks with cancer here unfortunately. There are new treatments that come out frequently it seems and that is good but I personally know a couple of people that have cancers that there are no good treatments for but you can always hope for the best. That is all you can do. Wishing you and yours a wonderful holiday dear, take care of yourself

The 23 year old son of a friend has stated chemotherapy for cancer the origin of which is undetermined . It began last week with a full week of chemo, then every Monday until February . It seems to me each person’s experience with chemo is different , comparisons cannot be made . Another friend who had chemo for breast cancer earlier in the year , certainly didn’t mix at all for the duration , a long time , of the chemo . I have another acquaintance , a dr, survived breast cancer 20 years ago but it returned 2 years ago . She comments how very different the treatment is now

I am currently receiving chemotherapy and my 4th one is on the 30th December. It’s not an easy journey, but taking things day by day is the best advice I can give you. Please try enjoy the festive season. I hope all goes well for you…..
@heathercrocombe2977Ай бұрын
@wheelswheelchairgirl Please try not to worry - I know it's easier said than done. GPs always do two week referrals for any breast lump that seems a bit suspicious. Most people who get referred for tests don't have cancer so try not to worry until you get results. I personally had no lump/symptoms but something suspicious was spotted on my mammogram so I was referred urgently. I did have breast cancer but it was caught relatively early and almost 5 years later I'm here and doing great 😊 Sending you a big hug xx

You're the one going through it. ❤

Tiffany it seems like again you are not eating proteins which your body needs for energy. You will always be identified as having a stage 4 cancer. You always talk about you not wanting to know what will happen with a medication or treatment you are going through. Knowledge of what is going on with treatments/medications and what signs you should keep an eye out for to know you need to see a doctor again before your next appointment will help you.
@anniesimoneАй бұрын
Well, we aren't all the same. Some wants it your way, others want it Tiffany's way, no rights or wrongs really. I do agree on the food issue though, it seems she doesnt really take medical advises serious enough, or doesn't really understand the seriousness perhaps?. The low potassium for instance, could be very serious if unlucky, they told her to eat bananas, she shared half a tiny banana with Matt,..which will make absolutely nothing. I would have loaded in bananas if it was me, no matter appetite or not, or not liking bananas, when it could in fact be a matter of life & death, you just eat it, period. If potassium goes really low, the heart could in fact stop beating.

I think Tiffany does a great job of handling the flow of information. She knows herself well enough to know that she gets overwhelmed easily and that she gets carried away with negative thinking if she allows too much information stimulation into her brain. So she carefully screens the information she’s receiving and allows herself to process which she knows she can handle mentally and emotionally. This is what responsible adults do when they’re suffering from chronic or life-threatening illnesses. I know that you were well intentioned in your remarks, but when Tiffany says we got this, she really does have this! 💙💙💙

They aren't stupid. They know what the future holds, but rather than live in doom and gloom, anticipating future treatments, they are choosing to embrace treatment free days while they last, AS IF it's the end of all treatments. It would be very foolish of them to let future possibilities destroy the joy of today.

In her heart of hearts she does not think it's the end of treatment. She is chosing to think of this as her last treatment, but she has said many times, that it's likely it's not. @@shanlon3213 Tiffany didn’t study Doctor of optometry. If you watch her old vlogs she documents the process she went through. 3 year degree followed by one year pre reg to qualify as an Optometrist. In the U.K. optometrist are not doctors unless you continue with the additional studies which Tiffany did not do.

Hi sweetheart, agreed, cancer is one hell of a journey. I’m praying that the results are great & that you’re cancer free. However whatever the results take your time to digest the news, there is no rush to share your results. I hope you’re able to truly enjoy Christmas with the very wise Matt (he’s a keeper) and your family. Hugs to Alma, best mother ever. Happy Christmas. I’m working, cooking for quite a few people so wont be able to catch up on your news till the new year. 💙💙💙 Happy Christmas Tiffany Thinks Family 💙💙💙

All finished Tiff!!! Baxter has bid you farewell! A rewind day is always important & necessary. I contracted Covid for the first time last week and have had to take time off work to rest. I'm very tired and sick to my stomach. Tiff, your words of wisdom help us. Whether you speak about cancer or anything else, you give good advice, and you make us think. Thank you 🙏 Do you eat Shahi paneer? I love it so much! With either naan or roti, or, with basmati rice! Yummy! I have leftovers! 😍 I am going to rest more. Have a good evening and see you tomorrow for another Vlogmas video! God bless you Dear ❤️🙏 WE GOT THIS 💙

Hi, Tiffany! I have had 2 partial colectomies and re-sections due to chronic diverticulitis. They warned me that depending on how things went, I could possibly need an open surgery and possibly end up with a bag. Thankfully, both times, things went well and they were able to operate lapriscopicly and complete the resection. My question for you is, will you be able to have the ileostomy reversed once everything heals, or will you have to have a bag indefinitely? You have been through so much. You are truly a warrior and an inspiration!❤

I could be wrong about this, but I think it’s a permanent thing because she lost a lot of her organs. I forget exactly how much but she lost a lot. She was so happy that she was able to keep her bladder and didn’t have two bags. How optimistic is that

She has no colon after surgery so must have permanent ileostomy

Merry Christmas Tiffany, Matt and Amma! I volunteer at a hospital in California and tomorrow we are going Christmas caroling in the hospital on the Med/Surg Floors. We hope to bring a little cheer to them

Chemo can't be easy. These same drugs would make healthy people sick, much less people who are already sick. I hope you are doing well in the new year ❤

What make-up are you wearing around your eyes? It looks a wee bit dark. I do have to say that you were quite blessed,(again) to not have ANY major side effects. From your 'infusions'.

She's not wearing makeup, it's the natural pigment, probably from fatigue and/or dehydration.

You mean besides fatigue and nausea. I had weekly chemo for 10 months and only "flu-like symptoms" like bone ache and fatigue for two days after each chemo day. Main thing is the anti-sickness drugs they have now are amazing.
