Deregistering a car is actually free Ninja, I paid only R38 about a week ago. All you need is a copy of your ID, affidavit stating you're the owner and reasons for deregistration as well as original papers. It will cost you to get duplicate papers (about R270) as you said you gave the original to him. At least you'll never have to pay again once it's deregistered. All the best Darling 😘

If you handover a car to someone you need to check after a month if they have transfered the ownership to themselves. If the car is still with then and they have not changed ownership to their names you should immediately report the car stolen after a month so that if they commit a crime with the car you are not liable. If you have to pay for other car disks, then it does not affect your ability to renew and traffic tickets will not go towards your licence. Ladies protect yourselves and stop being lazy to get our admin on track. A car disk expires after 12-months and they give you about 3-months after that before charging you penalties. I am saying this because my mother would also get fustrated like this when she tries to pay for her car disk and finds out my dad, my brother and my uncle's cars are all still in her name. She finaly rested when she declared all three cars stolen. Legaly it is true because she sold the cars to them and they where giving her the run around when they have to pay for the rest of the money they agreed on the sale.

It's actually against the law to report a car stolen that you sold. If you are not going to make sure you & the owner goes together to change ownership just go & scrap the car. That way it forces the new owner to register the car in their name & you are covered. Then go to the police station & make an affidavit that you no longer have any ownership of the car. Send both to the new owner & keep everything for prove. Buying & selling cars is not like buying bread. We need to stop acting like it is like that.

What I have noted with men after divorce is that they get so bitter, it's not even funny. What he's doing is exactly what my ex is doing. We will be talking kahle for a while bcoz we have a child. If you already on your bag and it happens you get married just make sure you register 90% of your riches to your business name even if your business is not that serious then trade mark that business also lawyers involved then go to your marriage 10% worth of whatever amount you have just incase the person turns out bad… The thing is if you don’t do community of property sh!t it will come out as if you already negatively concluded of what her or his intentions are, .. Both of you are at fault. He did not change ownership when he handed the car over , but also, you did not change ownership when you agreed to give him the car. Since it was in your name , you should have changed ownership before handing it to him. It's that simple. You must also take accountability for your part mama.
