Yeah, it's called sandbagging and when I competed in robotics in highschool, it happened a lot. You'd get good teams making sure they fall out of the picking slots so they can have the teammate they want and you'd have people throw the whole tournament just to end up picked by the 1 seed. It's good strategy, but awful sportsmanship

Honestly people can say that the game is lacking in terms of modes and characters and what not but to me the core gameplay is just so much fun and no two games are alike so that just gives it so much replay value. And to me this video just proves it because I just thought it was a blast to watch and just made me want to play the game some more. Honestly my biggest complaint is just the inconsistency of boom boom because sometimes he's an amazing goalie and other times he just lets the most basic shots go in and it can be really frustrating to make a comeback only to lose the game because your opponent made one pass and then shot it and it went right by boom boom.
