I tried to win MVP with a WR. Got 45 touchdowns, 202 catches and 3,137 yards. Didn’t win it. A running back on the bills won it with a record of 8-8 (seriously) and had 1,500 yards rushing 8 touchdowns ( combined) and only 120 receiving yards with 30 catches

Congrats on your records! And, I'm glad you mentioned putting points in speed... Your speed indicates a TE, not a WR. Imagine your number when you finally get a little bit of zip! What worries me about the playoffs is you started out 7-0 and finished 11-5. That means your last 9 games were 4-5 ... 4 wins in your last 9 games? I'm not so sure how far the Jets will make it into the playoffs.

So you've created your own legendary receiver in Madden, and made some legendary snags... IMO if your player was real, I think the catch of his career would be that one Browns game I think was in Season 2 where he leapt up and made the catch while being tackled by three defensive backs. All of this is to say you were both excited with both the effect of raising the "Spectacular Catch" stat for your player's performance, as well as simply the fact that it makes him a more consistent receiver. With all this being said, I thought about this while watching this episode, a suggestion for a possible future Madden Experiment: How good would a receiver be with mediocre other catching stats be with 99 Spectacular Catch? Perhaps even mediocre everything relevant to receivers (Route Running, Release, without Traits, etc.)? It sounds interesting to think about considering your character started out as a very bad to mediocre receiver until just recently, statwise, but you've been able to make some amazing plays, especially since that one episode where you dumped most of your EXP into Spectacular Catch. I think the perfect test subject for this, as a Giants fan, is David Tyree, the man who made the legendary Helmet Catch. He was a receiver that didn't see very many snaps compared to most other WRs even on his team, and in fact didn't catch many, if any, footballs after that play, but his most important one will live forever in NFL history. Even if, in game, he'd probably be a fairly low overall WR, I can see him with 99 Spectacular Catch based on that play alone. The only issue with this experiment is that I wouldn't know how much the gameplay would differ from the simulation. I can imagine him being slightly below average if you were to simulate one or a few seasons with him, but in game, like your 1 Kick Accuracy Kicker experiment, it would either be impossible to play with, or with your 1 Awareness experiment, if isn't too relevant for user play.
