I’m so happy that you believe Jesus is the Son of the living God. And so … if Jesus speaks truth, take your faith a step further and take Him at his word when he said, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them. Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your ancestors ate manna and died, but whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.” If Jesus speaks truth, then this is true!!! It’s not a symbol or a parable! If it was he would have said so.. Jesus offered his eternal life in the form of bread and wine for YOU, so take your love for Jesus a level deeper and check out your local catholic parish! 💛 it will change your life in ways you can’t imagine.🙏🏻

As i read your comment an overwhelming sense came to me that God the Father personally is reaching out to your heart. The melody of the song is what moves a person and matters and not the lyrics. That words spoken by a human over bread and wine becomes the body of a god (Jesus) is actually a very big lie, and is consistent with what most of religion teaches

I have many Protestant Friends, and I am very blessed to have them! But there always comes a time when they blame the Catholics for one thing or another, whether it be killing, idolatry or other crap. It doesn't seem to be fair to just blame the Catholic church for whatever went wrong in Christianity, or what protestants misunderstand as wrong. I always try to explain to them about what's really going on, but none of them ever replied back to my responses! *Here's one:* I have a question... I get that most of you guys really don't like the Catholic church. So I was curious to know what you think: what was the worst thing that the Roman Catholic church has done, and why is it bad today? There's a lot of common misunderstanding about the Catholic church. Many times in history, the problem was the people's corruption, not the faith itself... Jesus originally instituted it Himself, and people failed in the past to fully understand it (those indulgence sales, unchaste Popes, "works"). About Pope Francis, he could very well be a False prophet. It is prophesied (Malachy's prophecy) that he is the last pope, so I suppose that would make sense, judging by the rumors in the media about his unbiblical quotes and those evil-looking video thumbnails. While it would be easy to simply say "He's the False Prophet!", I don't believe it's my place to judge (it's Gods!). kzbin.info/www/bejne/oajbkpSBZdKdhbM (Not all Popes were good, there were some Antipopes as well... the people, not the faith.) I don't trust the media so much, it can be really full of crap sometimes... it's full of lies in fact. One possibility could be radical Protestants or Atheists just trying to make him look bad, unless there is some solid evidence of something He did that is not opinion, but a FACT (something that can be looked at, a physical change). It doesn't make sense to me to call him an Antichrist if there is no real evidence, people seem to only have critical opinions about him. If Pope Francis did make an obvious unbiblical change in the Catholic church (that was not there for the last two thousand years), we would have seen it by now and would have a problem with it. The authority was originally given to Peter by Jesus Christ, and that God-given authority was handed down through the ages. "You are Peter, and on this Rock I will build my church". Like I said earlier, this doesn't necessarily mean that all the Popes were good people. They were sinners just like all of us, and some of them might have never had Jesus in them to begin with. There was even a point after the reformation when there were multiple Popes at once, resulting from various disagreements between Catholics and Protestants alike. At the end of the day, God doesn't have any favorites. He loves all of us just the same, and there is nothing we can do to change that. That's my shortened opinion, Brother! :) God bless! :/ sigh

+Alan Bourbeau I'm glad you feel comfortable in the Roman church. But Jesus of Nazareth founded the Christian religion, of which the R.C. church is but one denomination, and not the oldest by any means. First was the Jerusalem congregation, which spread rapidly to Damascus, only 100 miles away. St. Paul, after his conversion on the way to this congregation in Damascus, planted churches in what is now southwestern Turkey, and went west from there. Some of the Apostles went east into what is now Jordan, Iraq, and Iran, meaning that the Chaldean church, along with the Syriac church, are almost as old as the Jerusalem congregation that came to a sudden end in 70 CE/AD when the Romans sacked Jerusalem and destroyed the Temple. The Greek Orthodox church is also older than the Roman church. These are all our Christian brethren-- a Christian is one who believes in the salvation brought to mankind by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, no matter what his or her denomination.
@SuperNoahmiller9 жыл бұрын
+Strix Nebulosa Sorry Nebulosa, but you are mistaken. The bible tells us Jesus gave Peter the keys to the kingdom, and that Jesus's church would never be divided. . The 30,000 denominations and almost equal number of differing opinions on what Jesus taught goes to prove this. The catholic church has and always will be the only denomination that believes the correct stuff. How can you truly believe that Jesus would support people having so many different opinions on what he taught. There is only one truth. So the fact that Christians all believe different things means that someone is right and the rest are wrong. And the bible clearly shows us who that is
@mjhoeber8 жыл бұрын
Jesus was talking to "you" plural; the Apostles were all given the keys to the Kingdom in Jesus' teaching. The Bible says nothing about the Roman CAtholic Church. The first congregation was in Jerusalem. The Syriac and Chaldean congregations formed soon thereafter, and then came the churches of "Asia" (today's Turkey) as listed not only in Acts but also in Revelation. Paul finally got to Rome, after planting congregations in Greece. The ONLY definitive teaching is to be found in Scripture, not in changeable oral tradition. It was over 300 years before any church council decided (under Constantine, who considered himself the head of the church) what was doctrine. But the Gospels were all written by 60-70 AD at the latest.
@mjhoeber8 жыл бұрын
Such doctrines as Mary being semi-divine, purgatory, indulgences, veneration of relics, etc., came much later and are NOT to be found in Scripture. These and many others are errors that the Reformation corrected. The only reliable source of what Jesus taught are his words as recorded in the Gospels.

Beautiful lyrics, melody and a purpose to live our earthly lives with the belief in Jesus Christ as our savior. Based on our faith we will be rewarded with eternal life In Heaven with the Almighty God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Blessed Mother, the Angels and all the Saints and everyone who we have ever loved, including our beloved pets. This brings back fond memories of a Catholic High School education and folk masses and memories of so many wonderful friends I shall never forget and that special time in my life. God Bless!

When all seems hopeless and things don't turn out well and our efforts to do good are fruitless, we shouldn't ever give up on God. God is here for us and is watching over our US country. God was there for his people when they were slaves in Egypt and he was there for them when they were exiled in Babylon. He has promised us a messianic savior, Jesus Christ. Eventually Jesus will return to the world and make the world a better place for all of us.
