This is sung in our church during communion, and totally ❤ it! I feel so overwhelmed and loved whenever I hear this song, and always get teary eyed. My fave lines are “I am the door wide open”, “hope for the hopeless” and “Come to me and know that I’ll always be there”. Thanks so much for this song! 😇🙏🏻

Absolutely beautiful. Love how the melody gently surrounds you like a big warm hug❤❤❤❤❤ Directing our A Little Joyful Noise Ensemble to lead our parish Family using this sacred music for Prelude and Preparation next Sat Vigil Mass. It will indeed carry us through this week as we immerse ourselves as we pray this music throughout the week.❤❤❤ Thank you for your Gift of Song and composing through OCP and Breaking Bread

He's billing it as sacred music, which it's not. As a pop song sure it's nice. As a piece of music to accompany the mass, it's the most absolute rubbish I've ever heard

@@therealcaptainredbeard Sorry but I have to disagree. This is absolutely a beautiful song for a mass. We have sung this multiple times for a communion song. People complimented the song a lot. They said the song was so moving and tearing them up during communion.

@@simonjaejunpark1167 But it goes against all norms and guidelines put out by the church. Emotions have nothing to do with whether a piece is suitable. But solo singing should never predominate to such an extent as to have the greater part of the liturgical chant executed in that manner; the solo phrase should have the character or hint of a melodic projection (spunto), and be strictly bound up with the rest of the choral composition. As the singing should always have the principal place, the organ or other instruments should merely sustain and never oppress it. Among the different kinds of modern music, that which appears less suitable for accompanying the functions of public worship is the theatrical style, which was in the greatest vogue, especially in Italy, during the last century. This of its very nature is diametrically opposed to Gregorian Chant and classic polyphony, and therefore to the most important law of all good sacred music. Besides the intrinsic structure, the rhythm and what is known as the conventionalism of this style adapt themselves but badly to the requirements of true liturgical music. On the last note sure its not Italian theatrical music but musically I am the bread of life has the same problems, its opposed to Gregorian chant and its rhythm and style adapt themselves badly to true liturgical music.
