It is such a powerful illustration that we love our spouses because they are who they are. The Lord doesn't want us to love him because he's so impressive in his attributes. He wants us to love him for him, his character, who he essentially is. And we see that character perfectly revealed in the person of Jesus Christ - there is nothing ungodlike in him. Hallelujah!

Gotta admit, I expected that the girl in his example will say that she loved John because John loves her.. When I first became a Christian, I didn't know God all that well and when people talked about their love for Him, I knew I wanted that. I prayed to God for Him to give me more love towards Him.. Inspired preaching: Always good to listen to anyone who preaches God unashamedly. I have issue with only one comment. “ A God who sends men, women and children to hell.” I do not doubt the existence of hell, I do not doubt men and women go there, but I take issue with children being “sent”....in fact in regard to hell I would say it is WE who choose. And we can only choose on what we know, understand and then either consciously accept of reject. A child’s capacity to do this is not fully formed, albeit the child is in an regenerative state.... as indeed we all are pre-rebirth, regeneration. Example: Let’s consider a child who lives but a short life and for whatever reason dies through accident or illness. Is that child imperfect, sinful (fallen short) yes. But also; not heard the word of God preached, inspired by and breathed on by the Holy Spirit...and so convicted. Is that child in hell ? Another: The child, neglected, rejected, battered, abused and damaged physically and mentally by others in the most unspeakable and heinous way. No doubt then in many, many cases to go on to dulling that intensely painful experience with drugs, alcohol and live a totally wretched existence. How hard is it for the mind of that damaged soul to even begin to accept the notion of a loving God ?....who might then also be informed. “And by the way, when your done here, if you do not accept this loving God I’m telling you about you’re going to hell.” I would expect the answer to be, “I’m already there.” God judges, not man. And surely God must judge, not just on what we do know and can in an act of true contrition accept, but in what we are CAPABLE of knowing as with these examples. Scripture: Romans 9: 14-16 “ What then shall we say? Is God unjust? Certainly not! For He says to Moses: “I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.” So then, it does not depend on man’s desire or effort, but on God’s mercy.” My prayer: Lord, you who know all things, not just our deeds but the motivations of our hearts, have mercy on us. So soften our hearts that we may look with your eyes, and act with your compassion, judging only ourselves as we (individually) stand in the light of your truth and the sacrifice you made for us...your beloved only begotten son Jesus/Yeshua. Amen. So be it.

Moses didn't have a case of mistaken identity. He had absolute humility towards God so much in fact is why Aaron was the high priest. Moses wanted the upmost best for God. Most do not know of the transformations, or the linguistic evolution, of the only name by which we must be saved: Jesus changed from Iesus due to the late addition of the letter “J” into the English alphabet in the 17th century. Jesus comes from Iesus, and Iesus is found in the 1611 KJV English version of the Bible. Iesus (Latin) comes from the Greek name Iesous, which is a transliteration of the Aramaic name Yeshua, Yeshua was a common name in the 1st century, and most people who lived in the land of Israel would have heard YAHSHUA as Yeshua. Question: Why is this one name YAHSHUA so important to our salvation? The Apostle Peter made this very clear and emphatic: “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). Question: How do we know that YAH was revealed to us? Answer: The Savior Himself told us when He said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM” (John 8:58). “I AM” is YAH, as in Halleluyah, Praise YAH! The Apostle Paul, who was called Saul, on the Road to Damascus heard the name which is above every name, He testified of this to King Agrippa, “While thus occupied, as I journeyed to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests, at midday, O King, along the road I saw a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, shining around me and those who journeyed with me. And when we all had fallen to the ground, I heard a voice speaking to me and saying in the Hebrew language, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’ So I said, ‘Who are You, Lord?’ And He said, ‘I am YAHSHUA, whom you are persecuting’” (Acts 26:12-15). Question: Did the apostle Paul hear the name which is above every name? Answer: The apostle Paul wrote, “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him {YAH} the name which is above every name, that at the name of YAHSHUA every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that YAHSHUA the Christ is LORD, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:9-11). Every language is to know and confess this one name: YAHSHUA. Question: “What does it mean if we reject the one name given under heaven by which we must be saved?” Answer: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God” (John 3:16-18). To reject the Savior’s revealed name is to stand condemned. Halleluyah, Praise YAH, Praise YAHSHUA! And be saved! This יָה is “YAH” {I AM} in Hebrew. “But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord YAHSHUA, giving thanks to God the Father through Him” (Colossians 3:14-17). Shalom in His name, YAHSHUA!

God’s name is Jerusalem or Yerusalem not Jehovah. GODS says through Jeremiah 25:29 “the city that bears my name.” Jerusalem is the city. Jerusalem is my name. And Danial 9:18. “The city that bears your name.” Jerusalem is the city. Jerusalem Is your name. Two true premises that lead us to right and true Conclusion. There are no two premises in the Bible or anywhere to Conclude that God’s name is Jehovah. In peoples presentations they make a claim with YHWH. Exodus 3:15. See people have put vowels in YHWH like Yehovah and then claim that this is God’s name which is incorrect and false. What right do we have to tell God what his name is. Why would God create A New Heaven and New Earth and a New Jerusalem that came down from heaven. Revelation 21:1 Why was it not called Jehovah or Any other name they falsely CLAIM. In John 8: 24 Jesus used the SAME expression 'ego eimi' ( I am He|) as the controversial verse 58! Who was he saying he was? Just read verse 28 " Then Jesus said unto them, when ye have lifted up the SON OF MAN then shall ye know that 'I am he' ( ego eimi ) and that I do NOTHING of myself but as MY FATHER hath taught me, I speak these things". Thus John throughout his gospel states that Jesus is the SON OF GOD, not God ! John 20:31 makes this clear "These things have been written that you may believe that JESUS CHRIST IS THE SON OF GOD" and that by believing you may have everlasting life". End of story! Amen!
