I knew everything would be okay in the end but "Saeran" was still hella scary. Like, the way he talks is already intimidating but this theme really adds to it. You can hear the pain, persistence, fear, and borderline insanity that have all taken him over. He's hurting you and tearing himself apart in the process, but you have no power to stop him. All you can do right now is just try to hang in there while you wait anxiously for him to deal his next blow. I genuinely felt scared by this side of him, and I was genuinely happy when his two personas became one and he finally stood up to Rika. It took me forever to raise 550 hourglasses but it was so worth it

This song is a perfect flip side to “melody of blue roses” and I’m addicted to listening to it. It sounds so dangerous but the violins keep it in the same aesthetic as the bittersweet tune of the melody of the blue roses. Ugh I love both of these songs You really feel the pain and struggling saeran felt. This song, melody of blue roses and endless struggle are absolutely the best themes in this game (and they’re all saeran’s haha- testament to how great a character he is)
