I went to Blackgang Chine every summer from 1962 until 1968 as a toddler and child. To see it thriving now is great and I'm sure there was a talking bin there 60 years ago! Well done Joe.

Joe I spent many many years going to the IOW because my grandparents retired there. I cannot even guess at how many visits we made to BGC - especially loved going at night when it was iluminated. So pleased it is still there & has remained authentic. You becoming the voice of the bin is just so brilliant. My sisters & I are arranging a visit. We have no children & are are by no means young but we do not care we are going back.

I can’t believe I missed you! I visited Blackgang chine on the 24th October. It was the first time in 22 years! I took my 6 year old son. My husband didn’t really get the excitement I had about going and reliving my childhood! My grandparents used to live in Sandown and we visited every year in the school holidays and always went to blackgang chine! My son loved it and can’t wait to go back.
