Accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour or in your heart won't save you from anything. You need to obey the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He who has ears to hear, let him hear. Amen.

When Jesus said: I am the way, the truth, and the life; Jesus was stating the truth. God, or the force of Love that animates all life; is the way, the truth, and the life. Jesus was not speaking personally about himself. What Jesus meant is that Love is the way to live, Love is the truth, and Love is the way to eternal life; not in the sense of heaven, but as a way to know yourself as the eternal being that you are. When you know yourself as Love, you know yourself as God. This God force, the I am that is within Jesus, is the same God force that is within everyone. The spirit that is within Jesus is also within everyone. God is the same in everyone, and God's name is Love.

No. Here's why: This is a typical Hebrew mode of reference that Jesus is using here. He is objectivizing himself as a three-fold 'body of revelation', viz (1) The Way (2) The Truth (3) The Life. Also 2Corinthians 5:19 "...that God was reconciling the world [of the Jews] to himself in Christ, NOT COUNTING PEOPLE'S SINS AGAINST THEM. And he has committed to us [the disciples of Christ] the MESSAGE OF RECONCILIATION.” Thus, in his body, Jesus was set forth as a 'body of revelation' called “The Truth”. (3) “The Life”. The descendants of Adam manifested as a "body of death" in the life-of-this-life (Rom 7:24) because of The Sin and “sin consciousness” brought to their knowledge through the Law (of Moses), itself “a body / ministry of death" (Rom 3:20, 2Cor 3:7). Jesus Christ was “the RESURRECTION and the LIFE” (Jn 11:25). Salvation was to "reckon" one’s self as having been "made DEAD [and buried] to Adam" in that former identity, and as having been raised "made ALIVE to Christ" in that new identity. (Rom 6:1-6, Col 3:1-3) In Christ they now manifest as a "body of life". Hence, “the living and the dead” (2Tim 4:1). Knowing God and Jesus He had sent, was eternal life (age-enduring quality life) and was life in much more abundance in the life-of-this-life. (Jn 17:3, 10:10). This was made effectual through God’s divine sufficiency, as opposed human insufficiency. Then, in AD 70, the status and legacy of the dead in Adam was finally destroyed by God.
