I'm not actually 30. This year I turn 37, but it somehow took me 7 years to get this song actually finished. Anyway, it's a song about getting older and feeling old. It will be in my new "personal" album which is now nearly finished. Big thanks to @genesiselijahtv for jumping on this track with me

@@fiusionmaster3241 Hey! Much love, and thanks for sharing, but as I said there is a reason why I reached out to you, do you mind if I use this data for my thesis? I am a portuguese master's student in Sociology at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities (FLUP) under the guidance of professor Paula Guerra and I want to study nerdcore scenes on youtube. With this exercise, I am collecting names so that I can see how the scene looks (symbolically), in an exploratory phase, with the help of the fandom and the communities. I think this is a quick sum of my informed consent. But I can send it to you entirely so that you can read everything that I am trying to accomplish. (The reason I am not doing it already it's because I think my comment gets erased, probably because it's considered spam.) (I also want to make a note that the collection of this data will be purely academic and that anonymity will be guaranteed, my intention is to look at this data in a grouping logic of all participants and not refer to each respondent their personal choices.) Thank you so much! Any sort of question or doubt you might have, please don't hesitate to ask, I don't want you to think I'm trying to dupe you in any way and I want, as possible, to avoid any misunderstandings. PS: Im not looking for "good" artists dont you worry, I litterally wanted what you just gave me and it helps a lot, many thanks!

Thought to myself after coming in from work, "Haven't listened to Dan Bull in a bit, let's see what he's been working at." This was something so beautifully bittersweet! Reminds me of a more updated "30/90" that song by Johnathan Larson (aka the man who made "RENT") and was also freaked about being 30 himself back in 1990. The more things change the more they stay the same. Being halfway through my 20s I'm not too fond of my youthful days growing further away with each year, so I really needed to hear that line "You're always young to somebody."

I don't know if you'll find this strange, but this song actually makes me feel really happy. It's not something like, "Oh boy, imagine being THAT old, wow, haha," or something stupid and trivial like that. I enjoy this kind of existential consideration. It's nice to see someone who exists more in the mainstream confronting concepts that most people would avoid for fear of being reminded of reality. We live in those reminders, not despite them. So, thank you for making this, Dan Bull.

Boy this whole thing with not seeing myself as an "old" hits the most bruised part. Just so true - it's so tough to become older on the inside. Well, i guess we know 2 songs off the album already.

You know, my favorite Dan content has always been the stuff where a theme is really committed to. No sudden 4th wall rap breaks or brags or silly, witty jokes (not that I don't also really enjoy those songs too). But just a total artistic rap rendition of a topic is...chefs kiss. Civilization rap comes to mind, and all the personal songs that tackle things like the struggle with autism. This is one of those songs for me, and the flow in the baggy jeans, gimme back my teens, ache section is absolute fricken fire. Love to see it Dan, good stuff

32 years. Feels like only yesterday I was pulling all nighters cranking out essays and homework, games of LoL before the season ended, the newest WoW expansion, etc. Do I have regrets? Sure. I just knew I was gonna be a young upstart in the indie gaming developer scene but here I am with nothing but abandoned demos and plans. I regret the time lost, but as said in the song, we're all young to someone. So long as we draw breath, it isn't too late. Mind the time that has passed, learn from it, and use it for a future that can look back on this time with no regrets

So to start off, the song has a killer awesome OG gangster beat to it, gave me big Method Man vibes and as an elder millennial that was raised on Method Man, I'm all about it! 👏👏 And as for being 30, I just hit 30 last year and this is by far my most favorite decade of life. I had a physical and mental glow up and I've come to understand that my childhood was my Caterpie phase, my 20s was my Metapod phase, and now I have fully metamorphosed--evolving into a Butterfree and have thus ascended taking flight. Normally I'm a lurker, but this hit me in the transcendental feels and I wanted to say, great job, dude! Been a fan of yours probably for almost a decade by this point and there is something magical about getting down and dancing to one of your favorite artists with your baby girl for the exact same reason why she's obsessed with the same music--also feeling like a true OG gamer in explaining to her what Minecraft alpha really looked like and how the introduction of redstone was mind-blowing in itself. I don't know if you ever get told this often enough, but the same people that were getting down to your music almost a decade ago are now getting down to the same music with their kids so now you are literally a household name and you're transcending generationa! So again, great job and keep making music and we'll keep dancing to it, even when we're in our little mobile scooters 50 years from now! 💖🥰✌️✨ This is my TED talk! Edit: have to correct the mistakes because I used talk-to-text and it tries its very best but since I did make it known that I do use talk-to-text, everything I am saying does come from the heart! 💖

25. I was diagnosed with autism, ocd, adhd, and a serious anxiety disorder when I was 20 after I had to drop out of college because I couldn’t physically keep up with the workload. It was made clear to me when I started therapy at 21 that I would be relearning everything from the ground up. I’ve had to spend the last 4 years of my life learning things I should have learned in my early teens or even before that. Now sometimes it’s hard to look at myself and see anything but a failure because I’m a 25 year old man who more often feels like I have the skills and knowledge of someone in his mid teens if not earlier. But the world ain’t fair and they expect you to act the way you look. It’s rough out there. But I’m trying to lay down a road for my niece and nephews to follow. My nephew has already been diagnosed with ocd and he has separation anxiety. My second nephew might have autism like me. My third nephew was just born but he struggled with speech which I hear is a bad sign. I’m thankful that my niece seems “normal” but i want my nephews and her to see what I’ve done. See that looking for help is never a waste of time and you’re never too old to begin. I want them to look at me and know that they can do whatever it is that they want if they’re willing to work for it.

Lol was about to comment about how much younger 30 is to me, when I saw your pinned comment Dan. I'm only a year older turns out. Still, at least you have a creative career & aren't too disabled to work 😂. Been following you since Ass Creed Rap 1 & you've helped me through some awful times. Just wanted to thank you for that

The passage of time is a cruel and fickle mistress. Addressing it head on without an inkling of pain or regret is a privilege not afforded to many. To anyone facing pain, sickness, confinement, or a foreboding future, I just want to say that even though you may not realize it, you aren’t alone in how you feel.

34 soon, I spent A LOT of time thinking about this, and talking to people I've concluded that... ...20's are overrated. We think that's when it all should happen because so many of our idols make it then. But most people find themselves in their 30's (some even later) and come on, do you really want to peak when you're 20, knowing that the best is done so soon? You know what helps? Get a friend or two that are 15 years older. They're likely doing okay. They still have fun, they still have a lot of life left. And you have 15 years til that point! :)

My wife turned thirty last weekend, and I turn 31 this year. She's got it all together and I still act and feel like I'm in my early 20s, even as my body is falling apart. I hobble rather than walk or run, trapped nerves and achilles tendonitis in both legs, but I've still got a lust for thrills and risks. Maybe being a social chameleon in a college environment is keeping my mind spry even as my body fails me, but the truth is that only your body ages, your mindset is what makes you young or old.
