So it's not like her initial promise to Bruce was at all out of the question for Bruce himself(especially considering Bruce was already on the verge of wanting to retire then, because he believed in Harvey)... Pretty awesome how you married the movie's perspective into the game's perspective. It's fairly convincing since the Nightfall Protocal in a sense mirrors the explosion trick at the end of the Dark Knight Rises. Also... we never saw a pre two-face Harvey Dent and Rachel in the Arkham verse, so imagining it just cranks things up to the next level and makes the ending that much more impactful since Talia wouldn't be the first love interest to die, though rather than a set apart life with Catwoman in Rises, on the contrary we instead get a Catwoman rejecting, mystical ghostly shadow walking, fear toxin using, lonewolf derelict and post public Batman in the Arkham verse which makes even Batman Begins conceptually feel like it has a place full circle with the whole fear gas in relation to Batman, how the league had him train under it and he eventually through using it back on Scarecrow, even in Arkham Knight became "fear" as a nightmare Batman which aligned with his initial vision of becoming Batman symbolically, and as it would seem, fully embracing fate or destiny as the essence of Batman.

Never once did Batman overestimate his own abilities, he was conscious sooner or later one of these villains or some common street thug would get lucky. His life is such a tragedy that in some versions he becomes what he hates or has to retire because he got too old (DCAU for example). We had our time no more Batman games. Arkham series is great hopefully maybe in a decade technology will let us play in actual Gotham city and go through each Batman foe and play as Bruce Wayne in the morning too balancing it
