What an amazing song! It's one of those melodies that reminds us we're all so different and at the same time we're all the same, whatever the colour, race, ethnicity, sex or no sex, sexuality, sexual identity or whatever else.. When lovely Gloria released this "gem", I was a skinny 14 y.o boy and it was this very song that made me realize I had to be my true self in order to live as a happy gay man. Now, as a 52 y. old proud and happy guy, I still feel goosebumps when I listen to it. I constantly sing it, for myself and the people around me. It makes me feel alive on troubled days. It's "Autism Awareness Month" (with all its blue lights, "inspiration porn", blue-themed "Autism Speaks" (do your research on why they do not actually speak for any of us Autistics.) fundraisers in which only 4% of funds raised actually go to Autistics and our families,dehumanization, people who want to "cure" me of something that is not fatal, debilitating, or even painful, etc. This is all does nothing but pathologize autistics when we're not sick.
