And the Hebrew meaning for the month 'Abib' or 'Aviv' is 'spring' or 'ears of barley' - and it's because this month is the barley harvest, which is always around spring time and is when Israel was first brought out of Egypt and as the Lord has instructed us, the 2nd exodus is about to occur.
