I agree but Amy wont be "told what to do" by anyone and that includes Lou. Nothing would have prevented Amy from going on Tour with Ahmed; even if Ty had refused to give her his permission. Amy is a typical Fleming who cares only about herself. If you watch the video clip of Amy on tour with Ahmed you see her getting flowers from him in her hotel room and just beaming with happiness about his thoughtfulness. Then she comes down to meet him at the bottom of the stairs and they greet eachother like any other romantic couple you can imagine. It may not have been sexual but it is clear that Amy, despite being an engaged woman, fully embraces the constant praise and attention/affection from Ahmed. This wasnt just a professional relationship. She clearly has also completely given in to the glamorous lifestyle that Ahmed is heaping upon her. When Ahmed moves in to kiss Amy after giving her one of those expensive gifts, Amy looks at him directly in the eye all the way and never does anything to object or turn away. That should make it clear to everyone that she is willingly accepting his kiss. Compare that with the Chase kiss in which the only way that we know that Amy accepted it, and in fact kissed him back, was because she admitted that to Ty directly. Note: I guess we could have taken a clue from how long Amy held on to Chase and actually seemed to embrace him for what turned out to be a very long kiss. As Lou would say, "that certainly was not just a peck on the lips". The truth is that this tour was basically a 4+ month long emotional affair with the fairy tale Prince in which she seriously considered ending her engagement to Ty in favor of pursuing a new career. Amy told us that she rarely called Ty while she was gone and likely even avoided returning many of his calls as well. When she returned home, she couldnt even bring herself to kiss him. That certainly makes it appear that she is no longer committed to marring him. I wish the script would have had Ty ask Amy "Do you even still want to marry me anymore" at some point in the script. Maybe after she criticizes him for not buying the ranch and he responded by saying that he couldnt get her to give him a straight answer about anything (marriage plans or buying the ranch) while she was gone. If she had been honest all she could have done is respond with a odd awkward silence. Just like Lou did to Peter. Wow! Wouldnt that have really said it all? Of course, Ty would never have known any of this without Georgi finding the video tape and showing it to Lou. Amy was determined to never tell him anything about anything that had happened thinking that since no sex was involved (or proven on the video) she had nothing to feel guilty about. I swear the more we understand the full details of Amys actions the harder it is for anyone to sympathize or root for her anymore.

It really is no wonder that Ahmed told Amy " you gave me every reason to kiss you" . I understand the argument that these things were really unwanted by Amy and therefore could constitute some type of sexual harrassment. However, that argument doesnt match up with Amys receptive actions.

These video clips were very good. They reminded me of many positive things about Amy and Tys relationship. Amy told Ty about this incredible professional opportuntity to tour Europe and meet some of the most powerful and rich people in the horse show jumping business. With those connections, she could do anything she wanted in that new world. Of course, she would also be traveling basically alone with a rich prince for 4 +months. As an engaged woman, she told Ty "that she would only go if he gave her his permission" . He reluctantly said yes. Amy was so greatful to Ty for letting her go that she promised to "call him all the time".so that they could share this experience together. Unfortunately, once she left in that helicopter she quickly forgot all about that promise and rarely even thought about Ty. That is the first of what would turn out to be many lies and dishonest acts that she will make during this trip. As we all know, Amy rarely called Ty while she was gone proving that she actually preferred to share this experience with Ahmed alone. That she would beg Ty to let her go and then, apparently, not care enough to even talk to him with any regularity is just mindblowing. How could anyone do that to their fiance / someone they love? The truth is, Amy spent more time seriously considering a new carreer and breaking her engagement to Ty than she did actually missing him. That lead to the emotional affair that she shared with Ahmed which culminated in their deliberate kiss at the party. Then when she returned to HL, she couldnt bring herself to even kiss Ty again. Just think of the message that sent to him. Then there was the expensive gifts and the declaration of love from Ahmed that Amy lied about. Yes, it sure sounds like "nothing happened" doesnt it?. Unbelievable! Note: does anyone really think that Amy would not have gone to Europe if Ty had said "no, I dont think you should go because it will not be good for our relationship"? Of course not. She would have said "forget you. I am going no matter what you say. Dont ever tell me what to do". Remember, Amy had said those exact words to Ty before. Maybe promising to call Ty everyday and not doing it wasnt Amys first lie after all. Saying that she would not go on the Tour unless he gave her his permission was her first lie. Everyone knows this is true.

Graham and Amber have always just been friends. Graham is happily married to Alison and Amber is happily married to Shawn. They have great chemistry for sure but it never developed into something more over the years. They live totally different lifestyles offscreen. Amber lives on a farm and Graham lives in the city.

One thing Amy did well was give nice gifts. The stethoscope, the graduation desk and office placque, the leather chair, and some kind of birthday gift that Ty said she knew what he wanted but never actually said what it was. ? Those are the nice things she did for Ty.

I know you are not much of a Amy fan but I love the scene where Amy gives Ty that stethoscope. Now 10 seasons later I am hoping that stethoscope is one of the important keepsakes Amy hangs onto. I can envision someday Lyndy starting vet school and Amy giving that very same stethoscope to her!!

@@sweethomemike Hey Mike. You know that I think Amy was a great character in the series. Her look as a western woman and her credibility as a horse whisperer helped make the show into what it became, an addictive family drama series focusing on Amy and Tys fairytale romance. Unfortunately, the producers just damaged her character and image almost beyond repair by refusing to hold her accountable for her destructive mistakes. Those mistakes occured throughout the series but primarily in season 4 and 8. Even her best friend Soraya couldnt excape Amys betrayal. I can only go by the facts of the storyline as played out in the script and that is what happened. Amy became a very negative character by her self-righteous and dishonest actions with Caleb, Chase, the proposal fiasco, Ahmed in Europe, Ahmed at Heartland, and maybe even Jeremy. As one commenter said, "Ty was the only man Amy could say no to". As for Lyndy, do you think this series will last long enough to show her going to college? The storyline is there but I am not sure they can pull it off. I guess it depends on how far they jump ahead in time this next season. They could probably do it if this show lasts a another 2-3 seasons. I have broken my addiction to the show so I will not be watching. None of the Flemings (that is all Amy is anymore) are the type of people that are worth rooting for.

So my thinking is a spin-off focusing on Lyndy, who has inherited her mother’s horse whispering gifts but wants to honor her fathers legacy by becoming a vet. Amber could still play Amy using the aging magic of television.

@@sweethomemike I like the idea. That is why I said the storyline is there to continue this series but can these producers pull it off? A lot of viewers dont trust or even like some of those producers anymore because of how they treated Graham. That certainly doesnt help. So if I understand you right, you are suggesting that Hearland be wound down and concelled at the end of Season 15. Then next year relaunch a new Heartland Relived series where they could basically start over. Is that right? Can Lyndy become the emotional draw of a new series that Amy never could? Would another young man move into the loft? How could something similar to that not happen? Would an outside Vet move in an buy Scotts Vet Clinic and help train Lyndsy? Two guesses on who HL fans would like that new Character to be. Yes, that is right. Graham. If you are going to "speculate' and drive HL fans crazy why not start by suggesting something like this would happen. I guess people will just have to wait to see what this "new direction" for Heartland turns out to be. Note: Truthfully, Graham needs to stay as far away from Amber as he possibly can. Just like Ty and Amy, he cares for her more than she cares for him and that has proven to be bad for his life.

On a side note I have seen a few other comments about how Graham was treated and forced to quit or be fired. What I have not seen is verifiable evidence of that. I still feel Amber and Graham are a great professional match and hope to see them work on other projects together.

Gawd Damn Amber Marshall is just soooo beautiful and not like the fake phony Hollywood plastic faced manikin beautiful but like the real girl next door naturally beautiful. She makes the whole show, the other actors or good but she really ties 'em all together and makes the whole show great. I'd love to meet her if for nothing more then to shake her hand & tell her what a great actor she is; she makes the whole entire series believable.
