Lando not being in contention for reliability, consistency or tyre management just shows how people are sleeping on him. You can see how rare Lando got DNF because of his own mistake, or how you often see Lando maximizing the results for always in the top 10 and also his tyre management like in China 24, Imola 24 Hungary 23 or Suzuka 23 have not been talked enough.

Reliability you can check during his 6 seasons so far how many times he got DNF due to his own mistake or crashing, you will see how rare it is from Lando. Also tyre management right now i think he's the best one outhere on the grid alongside Max. You can see how well Lando nurse his tyres like in Spa 23, Hungary 23, Suzuka 23, China 24, Imola 24, or even Miami 24. People are sleeping on him so badly.

I agree with your pick of Lewis for tyre management but i just wanted to shout out Charles Leclerc because i genuinely think his race pace is the most underrated aspect of any driver in F1, people seem to think he can only drive in qualifying but across his career his gap to his teammates has been bigger in races than in qualifying including vs Sainz who gets praised for his sunday performance, hes put in multiple tyre management masterclasses, making the one stop work in japan, his last 2 abu dhabi performances beating perez with one stops, austria 22 and vegas where he outpaced max at the end of stints, in Monaco last week where he had enough tyres left at the end to dunk 7 seconds on Piastri. Hell in COTA last year his tyre management was so good ferrari put him on a bad strategy because they thought a one stop at COTA was possible

@@johann9389 i think its very odd that "public opinion" gives verstappen the edge for tyre management, reliability and engineering. there are at least 3 drivers i could name who have better tyre management, lots and lots who are more reliable (thinking that max used his car more like a weapon instead of a car when he didnt have the fastest car by some margin) and also engineering in which lots of other drivers are stronger in my opinion. 90% of this video is recency bias and people voicing opinions who i believe dont understand/enjoy the analytical and technical side of the sport. giving alonso awareness when lewis, valtteri or for example also alex are just sitting there is very uneducated as i see it. i mean the man is known for clashing with and lashing out at the stewards.

There aren't really many categories which are given out on merit where Verstappen realistically isn't up there. In an online vote I would have also said Leclerc for pace, but if you put a gun to my head and asked "Who's gonna be faster in 5 qualifyings if we put both of them in a McLaren" I would have said Verstappen. Besides "Sponsors" an maybe "Experience", there's no category where Verstappen really can't compete. He's never gonna win the personality vote, but even then he's objectively smarter, more reflected, more jovial and more entertaining than most of the other drivers.

Norris needs some sort of credit here! One of the most consistent and reliable drivers on the grid. He should be up there in tyre management considering how inherently McLaren is not good with tyre management. He has made some rookie mistakes handful of times but in his 6 seasons, his race craft has grown to be one of the best on the grid. Very calculated driver and one of the best wet condition drivers (spa 2021,Sochi 2021)

Hmm, I scored Tyre Management and Bravery the same as you, I think the main reason Max has scored so highly in Reliability is because he's not in direct competition with Lewis at the front and hasn't been for over 2 years, the man drives differently against him as we well know. Can't blame another driver's absence for his consistent driving at the front, though, still deserved.

Lando Norris is top 5 all time for percentage of races scoring points in F1 history, only Lewis, Max and Fangio are ahead I believe. Considering he’s never had a championship car, or even a real race winning car. That’s insane. And he wasn’t even top 4 for consistency or reliability.

I think that Lewis winning Silverstone 2020 has nothing to do with tire management. If anything that should count against him because his aggressive driving put him in that position in the first place. Don’t get me wrong I think he’s great with his tires but that specific race shouldn’t make you put him at the top
