The spiritual realm is most definitely real and the Bible says that both good and evil spirits inhabit this realm. The Bible says that we are not fighting against mere humans but against spiritual darkness and wickedness in the heavenly realms and it's also true that Satan and his demons and fallen angels are fighting relentlessly day and night to turn people away from God and bring as many human souls with them to hell to be tormented for all eternity. We all better get comfortable talking about ‘religion’, and apologetics/defending the faith. While I’m on the subject, if you’ve got it in your heart, you know, if you feel led or even have an inkling, reach out and do the Word by laboriously sharing the good news and the great promises. It’s a tall order in today’s world but at the same time the burden really is so light. The Holy Spirit will be co-laboring with you, and will be doing the heavy lifting. Someone reading this has had evangelism tucked away in a quiet place in their heart not often revisited. Not that this should be a sole motivation, but for the intrinsic value of participating in leading someone else to Christ and the obedience to God, the Bible talks about ‘crowns’ some will receive. It doesn’t go into detail the purposes of these but it stands to reason that it is most desirable, quite a supplement in our reward and inheritance, and should be received humbly, never in a cold and calculated way. Absolutely they should never be expected. “But just as it is written, 'Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, and which have not entered the heart of man, all that God has prepared for those who love Him.'" -1 Corinthians 2:9

The arrogance of believing that salvation is our choice and that the Bible teaches this free will grace is hard for me to understand. You are either chosen from before creation or your not. Yes you are saved in time and space but trading faith for salvation is works salvation. God chooses us not us choosing Him. It’s so clear in the Bible. To those who are perishing it is death in there ears but to Christs sheep it is life everlasting. Give up this silly belief that God must allow you to choose and it is because you chose him your saved.
