The reason why the C4 sound is muted when a door is barricaded is because the way sound works in siege is that sound travels in a certain radius, and finds paths for the sound to travel in. It will find open doorways/windows/walls to travel through. So once the door is barricaded the sound has no were to travel into that room. You are not hearing the sound of the c4 coming from behind the wall, you are hearing the sound travel from the wall, through the door and through your window to you.

So i know this is a "main vid" but why does everyone hate Emerald? One of my favorite maps, for the same reason people hate it, a lot of rooms, corridors but that also means a lot of access points/angles and it seems pretty even for attackers/defenders if you understand the map but nobody wants to give it a chance.
