If you would visit an average countryside family in finland and join our dinners, you would probably get some boiled potatoes, some meat (pork, fish, chicken or cow) with sauce. As salad most finns like to eat lettice, tomatoes, cucumber etc. Of course there are some more modern and more international foods but this was just an average example from a 46-year mother from countryside of Finland. Your meals were quite nice too, though. Have a nice day! ☀️

This is quite similar to Russian countryside dinners! Have a nice day too☺️

Nice video, I might try the same with the Russian dishes: begin the day with a cup of strong Russian style tea, then some borsch or maybe rassolnik, pickeld cucumbers, pelmeni, kvass and a little bit vodka. Mmmmm. 😋

I keep miscrowave popcorn in my closet so that I don't buy crisps. I'll go by the crisps shelf in the store thinking I'll get some but then I remember I have popcorn back home so I don't need to. Then when I get home I don't make the pop corn, and I haven't bought the crisps. Rinse and repeat. Saves me a lot of money, I like to think.

Hi Alena! Nice video as always 😀I'm glad that you succeeded in your food challenge 👍. My favorites were karelian pies, Kismet and Laitilan Kukko, however I usually prefer lager. On the other hand, pinaattikeitto is horrible. I can't eat it at all.

@@AlenaTalks ...so you'd probably understand, why that hellishly annoying song (by Status Quo) is being played on repeat to rookies in Finnish army during their first days of service. Over and over again. And again... and again... (Fun times!) :D

This was a fun video. I'v been thinking about getting one of those Turkish coffee pots. Do they make good coffee? Is it quite strong? Last week was also extremely hot in Helsinki. It was almost impossible to work from home. I wish I had air conditioning.
@AlenaTalks3 жыл бұрын
Yes, those pots make great coffee. You can choose how strong you want it to be :) It depends on the amount of spoons you put.

Can't watch right now but I will. Therefore, I have no idea how easy or difficult this is. But what would it look like to wear only Finnish brands in which you would go out. Made in Finland is difficult. If you do this I'd recommend to take a look at Tam-Silk, which is located in a city (Kangasala) where our family summer cottage is located. P.S. No expectasions of you buying and wearing because I would guess many are impossible to ship to you. P.P.S Maybe next summer you'll visit Kangasala 😀
