Great to hear you took the family out. It's still cold outside so getting out of the house with the family and showing them your "Hobby" is going to stick with them their entire lives. Very cool. Also great that the kids were able to get some fun things that will hopefully catch their interest and spark a love for collecting and saving

Normal experience, always one or two grumpy people, But 99% are great and helpful, Glad to hear you and your family had a great time at the coin show. All coins shows are different, they have different stuff. You need to make trips to the bigger shows like the FUN show, Las Vegas show, Chicago, Texas, Long Beach show, Your family will Love it.

Good video, SBS! I subbed a couple of weeks back and have been enjoying your content and appreciate the no BS take on your stacking journey thus far, stack on! I went to my first coin show recently, also brought my young son. We are both new stackers this year...I've certainly gave him the silver bug. My big takeaways as a newcomer were that there was 1) a main focus on numismatics with 2) mainly older folks thumbing through coins with one hand and the other had their lists of needed coins (set collectors). 3) not many had stackable coins like 90%, bars, or rounds. But we did find all of these eventually. That said, everyone was friendly. Everyone struck up a conversation with the boy and was excited to see him. We have the next one on the calendar and the excitement is building!

I'm glad you had a good experience for your first show. I went to mine a couple months ago and it was 99% foreign coins, lol. Had a way difference experience. Kind of upset I missed one recently near me. Didn't have the funds. Well theirs always a few rotten apples at these shows, at least their were a lot at the one I went to. Thats crazy. Glad that was your only bad experience though.

I can only say that some people in this world are weird, some are corrupt, some are a bit odd, many are regular. It's like the bell curve. To either side of the bell (that 10% slice on either outside edge) are extreme examples of humanity while the other 80% are in between those extremes. That can be applied to any aspect of humans. Perhaps you ran into someone on the less agreeable edge.
