For a prototype, this is great - perhaps a little overkill from an electrical engineering perspective (you could use a dumb DC motor, 2 limit switches and a SPDT relay - switch A runs the motor one way, switch B runs it backwards by triggering the relay, have the switches be triggered by the rotation) - but it gets the job done, so looks like a success to me! Now that you can automate the crank, it would be very cool to leverage all that spare processing power to make dynamic changes to the machine, create patterns etc. I'd love to see more!

Thank you so much for the intel ! I am totally new to that world so any idea is welcome 🤩 I can’t wait to make new videos on the subject 🤘🏻

If you're not careful on your quest to find your inner creative artist, it looks like you might accidentally find your inner engineer! But that's ok. We kind of make art as well, just usually more on the practical side. Thank you for the nice video, and keep it up!

Ahaha I unlocked the side quest indeed ! And I agree, making something as practical and simple as possible has some poetry to it ✌🏻 Thank you for your comment and have a great day !

Hey ! Great project ! Maybe, for further imporvement, you can try to 3D model a stand that can hold the stepper motor. In fact, with that you can implement some adjustement mechanisms (By experience I think that the mean reason you had some issues with the shafts connector ahah) This will provide a more accurate positioning of your motor :D Keep up the good work !!

Heyyy thank you for the comment ! I will totally think about what you said for the next video, the 3d model is a must I agree 😄 I still hear the sound of that shaft 😩 Stay tuned for the next videos ✌🏻
