I feel slightly (emphasis on _slightly_ ) better knowing that I’m not the only one who used an exploit to get to max level in Hardcore mode. However, the way I went about it may be considered more egregious, as it involves going to Helios 1 and gaining access to the facility and completing a side quest called “That Lucky Old Sun”, where you get tasked to reroute the greater New Vegas area’s power supply via a mainframe computer in the facility. You could choose a specific option and return to a man named Dr. Ignacio Rivas and tell him you had selected the most ideal option, and you could, like the example shown above, repeat that check over and over. What makes it quite possibly more egregious, as I stated before, though, is that Rivas will give the player either Doctor’s Bags or Stimpaks. I kept as many Doctor’s Bags and Stimpaks as possible without getting over-encumbered, and proceeded to do all the necessary things to stay alive and well in Hardcore mode while also going the path of least resistance, a.k.a., the “Yes Man” route.

Yeah, I was playing on the X with backward compat digital download. I had my healing hang up till I left my pipboy and went back in to eat food. Hope you can get it sorted!
