You should play Lies Of P. Its like Bloodborne + Sekiro + Pinocchio. Its pretty difficult but very fun and rewarding. Overall map layout is pretty linear aswell so you wont get confused on where u need to go.

As a big fan of the soulsborne series, the games get even better when you ignore all the people trying to say playing a certain way or not taking it in the way they do is bad. I will say, You are dead on with your assessment, The atmosphere is 100% what makes it my favorite Souls game and tbh one of my favorite games of all time. I know that the boss fights are usually what people look forward to the most while playing these games, But while that's def a highlight for me, What I look forward to the most is the exploration, That sense of wonder I get from discovering new things & wandering into a new area, I've realized that Atmosphere is def what pulls me into games the most, Great art design and a memorable OST makes for a much more immersive experience, Hence why games series like the Metroid Prime Trilogy & Dark Souls Trilogy are my absolute favorite kind of games to play.

imo elden ring has the best most complex and most varied art and atmosphere by FAAAAR! but they all have pretty great atmospheres, personally i found bbs atmosphere incredibly bland and almost copy pasted at times to be brutally honest, but i get that goth loving ppl like the muted 2 tone grey color scheme, but the reason why i love fromsofts games so much is because of how creative and wacky their art and area design is and bb isnt really creative at all, its basically 30 hours of grey castles, grey rooms, grey corridors and hallways, grey coffins and grave stones and lets not forget that super grey forest XD i swear miyazaki! theres more to lovecraft environments than just cobbled grey bricks!

@@flamingmanure The black/Gray color scheme throughout BB IS the atmosphere, And its what made it so immersive for me personally, Everything fits a common theme but with a twist of Eldritch horror. There's a distinct vibe that fits in with the theme and that is what makes it for me, At times it's claustrophobic, So the moments where you do get a little space to breathe or a slight switch up in scenery makes the impact of those moments hit much harder, Add the creepy enemy design along with its ethereal OST and yeah it's atmosphere is on another planet than most other games for me. Elden Ring def has the more varied art but it wasn't that atmospheric to me personally cause it was sort of all over the place, Like there were certain areas in ER that created a great atmosphere, Such as Volcano Manor or the Shunning Grounds, But the often empty open world didn't really suck me in the way BBs tight nitted level design did. Tbf kinda like you put it, People's tastes and opinions on stuff like that differs, But for me as much as I love the vibrant and diverse locations in Elden Ring, I feel the open world kind of takes me out of it just a bit, That's where I feel DS2 actually did it better, Like it had the most variety in its levels, And wandering from one area to the next had me feeling much more involved in its world, Like every little space had a purpose, And I actually felt compelled to fight my way thru instead of just speeding past on my horse, Like the highlight moments of ER for me were the seamless transitions from on area to the next, Going down the Mistwood well, Going up Mt. Gelmir into Volcano Manor, Going from the Haligtree into the city, DS2 is like that but thru the whole game, Constantly making way into a new, Different area back to back, Along with some unique, Zelda inspired Puzzle solving that they kinda did away with (For the most part) From BB onwards. If DS2 had Elden Ring/DS3's level of combat/Bosses, It would probably be my favorite game ever, It def is the Souls game with the heaviest RPG feel to it. As it stands each game has something it's excels at, BB is my overall favorite for it's atmosphere, Sekiro has my favorite gameplay, DS1 has the best level design, DS2 has the best level of customization, DS3 has the best bosses, And Elden Ring IMO has the absolute best Story/Lore.

@@aziel9141 sekiro is the easiest one after spammy bloodborne, its all about reaction and barely any strategy or using the brain. what made sekiro hard to most souls veterans is the old souls veteran instincts of bitch dodging backwards (something that pisses off vets in elden ring the most and i love it), sekiro a hard game sure, but not any harder than any other fromsoft game, but frankly sekiro fanboys laughably exaggerate that whole "its the hardest cuz u cant cheese hurr durr" silly self gratifying narrative XD most ppl stumble their way through elden souls and barely survive their first playthrough cuz theres far more layers to think about than just reaction timing, unlike seki and bb. my first were elden ring then the DS series, after that bb and sekiro were a joke, finished both in 25 hours each and took me 6 hours to finish old hunters.

Going through the dungeons to fight the Pthumerian Queen is overall easy with the exception of Cursed/Defiled Chalice dungeon which cuts your HP in HALF that shit was so goddamn annoying lmao. One little mistake of dodging and the boss hits you, you could potentially get one shotted. Its probably the only area in all of Bloodborne that I raged so hard haha

Honestly, YT Commenters just wanted to you suffer playing the game to justify their own experience. You beat the game with relative ease because you're an above average player, it would not have mattered which weapon you used. Personally, I'm more of a fan of the exploration of these games than just the boss fights, but I think we all enjoyed the playthrough anyway and that Orphan of Kos fight was worth the watch on it's own.

Yeah... don't listen to the gatekeepers. If the game gives you a weapon, then you use it. If you do another playthrough, Arcane is a blast. Level one weapon up with fire damage for beasts, and the other up with bolt damage for kin. That was my last play through, and I had so much fun. Skill build are also extremely strong in this game. Your visceral attack scales with Skill, so you can create a quick build that melts enemies, and then one shots most enemies with a visceral and takes off huge chunks of HP from bosses. I love the cane for a Skill build, but the Saw Spear may be my favorite weapon in the game. The Saw Spear has a similar move set to the Saw Cleaver, but it does serrated damage in both forms, whereas the Saw Cleaver only does serrated in the collapsed form. The Saw spear then has a thrust attack, which does extra damage to kin

For a 2nd playthrough, I'd recommend the whirligig saw it's just a super fun weapon. It's pretty op, I think, but it's so fun. I'd recommend at least checking it out if you play on your own. Loved the playthrough.

I love the way big weapons are explained I wish you’d play monster hunter honestly tho. Best game to play if you wanna feel impact and also has a stagger mechanism.

Good job on completing your first playthrough, btw I think you should try and get all the weapons just so you can have that much more fun with the game. Either way you've now become a hoonter, now you'll soon be saying man I wish there was a BB2 or a remaster lol
