I think the gank fights were designed to be fought with phantoms. In DS3 using summons breaks the boss fight most of the time, in DS2 its fine

Man, I'm so excited for DS3. When I first played it I didn't love it, so much so I had fondler memories of DS2, then in antecipation for Zanny's streams I finally played through the game once again, doing the DLCs this time... I have to say I loved it. The Ringed City is so fucking great. Can't wait to see him play, once he recovers from his fifa addiction

Opposite for me. First souls game I played, thought i loved it but coming back to it after several hundred hours of the other games I realised how shit it was. 1 - build variety sucks ass in ds3. 2 - farming is ass in ds3, too little souls too low drop rates. 3 - resources are way too limited in ds3. Too rare for what build variety it even has to be experimented with. 4 - input delay. Literally the stupidest thing souls games have ever done. 5 - gank spam is ridiculous. If you try to fight the enemies when they’re presented to you as you move through the level than you get ganked by an unholy an enemies. But they give you so much I frames for most enemies that you are basically rewarded for running past everything and skipping the games content. It’s honestly just really lazy game design. Those are my five criticisms that I could think of out of nowhere. On top of all this, the game is also extremely easy. It and elden ring feel like Ubisoft games.

@@zzodysseuszz 1) Can't comment on this cause I make similar builds in all the souls games. 2) You can just farm souls in the dlc if you even need to (you get more than enough while playing the game normally anyway). 3) You can literally buy unlimited upgrade materials after getting the required ashes 4) What input delay do you mean? DS3 has the most dynamic combat in the souls trilogy 5) The ganks are much less numerous than DS2 and won't follow you up to the boss room (unlike in DS2) even if you do choose to run. No one wants to fight every enemy on the way while fighting a hard boss and it's great that they designed it such that you never have to. If you legit think DS3 is easier than DS1 and DS2 I don't know what to say. The bosses there are slow as hell and have an extremely small moveset compared to bosses in DS3.

It's like the game was made specifically to appeal to idiots who go FAsst GOOD and dont care about anything except bosses. It has way more ganks than ds2 has, you just don't remember them because you run through every level like the game almost makes it necessary to.

Fume Knight. My living nightmare. I remember the exact amount of times he killed me. 76 times in total. (After I started counting.) Granted it only took me 46 tries before he died the first time. But he died from a glitch. So I decided it didn't count. And well, I decided to punish myself by using a bonfire ascetic to bring him back. Hence the rest of my deaths. Felt great to be able to fully roleplay him with both his weapons though.
