Talking about getting the nonjaflip ring before O&S, and not wanting to pay 20k souls. Gargoyles plus Moonlight Butterfly is 20k souls exactly. Once you get into the forrest the present NPCs are I think 18k souls, and the Ninja and Shiva will take you over 20k. So while it takes a little extra time it doesn't really cost souls because you make them back so quickly.
