Working on an RL1 run in the DLC now... getting in and fighting one-on-one with the bosses is going okay (translation: I'm getting murdered), but getting through dungeons and dealing with trash mobs is just brutal (translation: I'm getting murdered even harder).

Barricade shield plus guard counters works great for annoying mobs like the fanger imps. Also can't go wrong with ranged weapon arts like glinstone Pebble or ice spear, makes rl1 traversal alot easier. Also make use of stealth abilities like assassins gambit

Do you think that in regular new game using the blessings would make rl1 too easy? I'm going to do it at some point and want to preserve the level of challenge I had in base game rl1. Using no blessings would of course be much harder but I'm wondering if using a lot of them makes it too easy.
