To those who say this isn't F2P: It is and I showed it. If you think its edited there's no way I could convince you. To those who say this is just lucky: You're right, and that's the nature of gacha games. I stand by that anyone can have 4 S ranks (including Ellen) but obviously some combinations of S ranks are stronger and others are weaker. I don't think this is the luckiest combination, because I think my account would be stronger with an attacker's S rank W-engine or Grace's W-engine for Piper or having Rina instead of Lycaon's W-engine or having a Grace/Rina team, or having stronger vertical investment on Ellen or Nekomata or Lycaon. I'm still showing this off as F2P because none of the characters have vertical investment other than Lycaon and fair enough if that discredits this in your eyes. I'm going to start working on runs with Anby and her W engine in place of Lycaon since I know lots of you guys either haven't grinded all the content or are saving for Zhu Yuan/future characters. Anyways, thanks for watching.

congrats! im a f2p too and i just cleared stage 16, tho just barely xD i hope i can do stage 17 too, running the same ellen team, with grace rina piper for the 2nd team. with ellen im confident i can clear it fast (under 3 min on stage 16), problem is my grace team took a whole 6+ min to clear that stage 😂

Would love to hear your thoughts on a Nekomata team. I have her signature W-Engine so I’m finding more success setting up burst windows with Neko/Anby/Nicole. I also have M1 Piper and her signature along with Lucy and her signature. Would you recommend investing in Piper still or should I just stick to using Anby?

I'm more of a fan of Piper because even though Piper and Nekomata are competing for field time, in reality its not that bad. Nekomata really likes the Assault procs, especially if you're using the Physical disk drive set. And I haven't played Nekomata with Anby much, but I'm pretty sure she prefers when the boss is active so she can utilize her core passive. Nekomata doesn't capitalize on stun windows that well compared to other DPS. If you don't have the resources though, Anby will probably work out fine. I got Zhu Yuan and completely ran out of character EXP so I won't have any for 50-60. And if you don't like her design by all means don't build her. I haven't tested Lucy so I won't comment on if she's stronger than Nicole in that slot.

Thanks for your thoughts. I’m currently stuck on SD16 so hence why I’m trying out different things. Although Nekomata doesn’t make full use of stun windows, I think it’s really hard to capitalize on the extra damage from her signature wengine to hit from behind if the enemy is not stunned haha. I’ll work on my disk drives and try again later. Since I’m farming Polar Metal for my Ellen team, I might as well try to get a good set for Piper while I’m at it.

Yeah I've spent on refreshes. I think I've spent a bit over a 10 pulls worth of polychrome but I'm probably not gonna refresh anymore. It's also kind of a snowballing effect because leveling up gives you more missions and battery fuels, so me being level 44 doesn't mean I refreshed 4 levels worth of battery.

I don't have Lucy's signature and Nicole requires almost no investment whereas Lucy wants attack to maximize her attack buff. Also grouping is so incredibly valuable if you use it right.

I use disk tuning for Woodpecker Electro and I try to farm domains where both sets are useful. I also get started fast because I don't value upgrading non-DPS past a certain point.

I think this entirely depends on who else you plan on building. While she's great at doing assault damage a very big weakness of hers is that she doesn't have a gap closer and there are a lot of enemies that like to jump back and will do so when Piper starts spinning. But if you have a team in mind, she's pretty good. I haven't looked at Jane Doe leaks so I can't say anything about that.

She only gains the crit damage for her basic attack. Anything that uses a flash freeze charge gets the crit damage

Ellen Anby Soukaku for your first team, and then I'd recommend playing Anton with your Ellen. For the 3rd slot, I'm not too sure. I would say Ben, but I don't know how good his stun potential is. The other option is Piper, but you might not have her but she can be used for a disorder team. Finally Lucy and Nicole can work, but the team might feel bad to play without a good way to build up daze.

I'd say Koleda but I haven't tested those teams. I think Koleda because I personally think having a stunner is more comfortable because the boss will be stunned longer which means he can't do damage to you. I'd probably try to find some S11 showcases than depend on my advice.

Hi, I would like to know your input since you're insane at the game and know how to manage his resources. I am having trouble with clearing SD 9. I am IK 34 almost 35. My team is currently Ellen/Lycaon/Soukaku and Anton/Grace/Anby. The current characters I have are Nekomata, Corrin, Nicole, Billy, Ben, Lucy (They are all lvl 1), and the characters listed above. Ellen w/ starlight (both at lvl 40) unlock A,B,C skill is 7/7/3/7/7 Lycaon w/ Steam Oven (both lvl 30) unlock only A 3/1/1/3/1 Soukaku w/sig weapon (both lvl 30) unlock A, B skill all 1. The other team is Anton w/ Street Superstar (Both at lvl 40) unlock A,B,C skill is at 5/1/1/6/4 Grace w/ sig weapon (both at 40) unlock A,B,C skill all 1 Anby lvl 30 w/ Demara lvl 10 unlock only A skill all at 1. I do not have any disk the disk I am using are only the ones that the quest and task give you. What do you think I should do to improve my team. Do you think I should pivot to Nekomata, Grace, Anby or Nicole(maybe?) and make a disorder team? or what do you suggest my next moves are? thank you in advance.

Also how do you assess your disk rolls? Like when is the right time to stop farming that certain number and move on to the next one? And do you only do this on your dps? And just level 15 the disk of your stunner and supports w/o minding the rolls?

The most obvious place for improvement would be your disk drives. I think your team setups are good enough. But you absolutely are doing the best for your account not having any disk drives leveled yet, because you can unlock S rank disk drives at level 35 and you should farm those until level 40 unless you have some skills or weapons you still need to promote. I wouldn't pivot your teams unless you absolutely hate playing your Grace team. The game is about having fun at the end of the day. As for disk drives, you'll get some that are obviously winners that you'll want to level a lot like double crit, or anomaly/attack for anomaly units. But especially for your 4 5 and 6 slots, make sure you have a main stat first. You don't have to level it yet, but make sure you have a main stat because main stats are so much more important than substats. If you want to push Shiyu Defense, you really just have to know when your disk drives are good enough. Don't go for level 15 on disk drives unless its an insane piece since you've got a Grace Anton team and both want investment. When you're level 40, that's where you stop farming disk drives and go back to character upgrades. You also unlock the S rank tuning and you have two options here. At this point, you will know what pieces are still lacking and can target those in your synthesis. I would recommend fusing your 2 piece set this way, especially Woodpecker Electro since you do not want to farm that domain. Overall your account looks good, you just need to start farming disk drives when you get to 35. Last, for your supports and stunners, I think leveling their disk drives is entirely up to you. If you're struggling to stay alive with them you should level their 1 and 3 pieces, but if you can survive just fine their disk drives don't need to be leveled at all since their damage contribution isn't too important. Same with your supports. They rarely have field time and don't scale as well with investment, so they can be farmed for much much later.

Also, we can merge disk at level 40? do we unlock something that let us merge them together? because I only know that we tune using the master copy, and for the stunners Lycaon is doing fine but I am having trouble with Anby since her main daze damage is on her 4th attack and its too long.

@@0JAMM DPS skills should still go to 7 if you haven't finished already. I forget what the shop is called, but from the stuff that you get after each pull you can get 50 blue skill upgrade materials per month. This early, I think that's a great deal unless you do not want to wish for like 1-2 banners so buying these would mean you miss out on the 10 monthly wishes. Also check the bangboo shop on 6th street. I believe you can merge disks already at 35. You get to use purple disks, every 5 merges guarantees a S rank. At level 40 you can merge yellow disks and every merge is a S rank disk. How you merge depends on how soon you want to start doing Shiyu Defense, but I would recommend waiting until you farmed a bunch of disks so you know which slots need to be filled.

Lycaon is a debuffer, if u dont have soukaku then u can use Lucy, or try get himself from ellen banner, u Only need 1 dps at a time

Because so far I only find and see ppl who get through stage/floor 13+ with both side of the teams have S rank, either DPS, support, or Stunner.

Congrats on clearing SD17! I just cleared mine as well. I genuinely think that people need to differentiate between F2P clears and 'cheap' clears in gacha games specifically, me as a F2P also have 4 S-Rank (Ellen, Lycaon, S11 and Koleda) via rerolling, though a lot of people get 'cheap' clears (ie. 4-star/A-Rank chars clears with little or no premium unit for HoyoGames) mixed up with F2P clears which are the clears that are possible within the boundaries of what a F2P can do with luck involved. Anyways though I never thought that Nicole would work in a Nekomata team but ig it works xD

I'm interknot level 44. My characters are level 50. I did spend some polychrome on refreshes, but I also did almost every single one of officer Mew Mew's requests and all the side quests. Pretty much at every point in the day, check the time icon (sun or moon or whatever it is depending on the time) and run to each area to see how many bangboos there are. And check every area for side quests. There are even some evil side quests that are hidden behind talking to NPCs like Claire.

Not a reroll account. I got Neko from starter banner, Lycaon's W engine pretty late with standard pulls, Ellen from soft pity and then got Lycaon early (something between 50 and 60 pulls IIRC) because I was pulling for M6 Soukaku for fun.
