Becoming a liminal space photographer was hard. It took me 4 months and access to a ghost town, but I learned a lot along the way. I hope you enjoy my journey as much as I did.

I go out and take liminal pictures of my own, I've gone exploring in the dark. I know that feeling of being out there all by yourself in the darkness with very few streetlights. Such a fun yet equally unsettling experience. I'm roughly halfway through the video and I'm absolutely loving it so far. Hope to see more videos from you.

No problem. I wish this video would get more attention, because it most definitely deserves it. I think people don’t fully understand how difficult it is to capture good liminal pictures. I was one of them at first, I woke up at 1 am in the morning, and traveled around taking pictures. Spend 5+ hours only to get 1 DECENT picture. And it even isn’t THAT good.

I recently learned of the concept and it's intriguing, and I've been noticing liminal spaces more now. I technically even work in one, without realizing. When I'm on night shift or weekend shift I basically have the whole building to myself. Empty hallways, empty office cubicles, empty lunch room, etc. Are basically all liminal spaces.

2:01 I see that image every time I get my eyes checked by my optometrist. It’s in some machine that they use to measure your eyeballs (I think), and it comes up to give your eyes something to focus on while they measure. I’ve always loved seeing it, especially when it slowly comes into focus. I kind of look forward to my annual eye exam just for the image. Thanks for sharing this; I have looked online but never was able to find it.

I just re-watched this video. I love the way you end it with an inspirational message, and I hope this doesn't discourage you at all, but I am not sure what I feel when I look at liminal spaces. I understand that I am supposed to feel nostalgia, but I believe I feel more fear and loneliness. Shoot, are some people just not very intuitive at interpreting liminal spaces? Or was my childhood perhaps filled with fear and loneliness? Oh man, some food for thought.

Yeah, there's definitely different interpretations to liminal spaces. Some people feel calm and nostalgic, and others feel uncomfortable and fearful (I can feel both these types of responses, depending on the liminal space I'm looking at). But I don't think there's a right feeling to feel when looking at liminal spaces. I think it's completely subjective. Thanks for watching it a second time, too!

Any empty place can be a liminal space. Im not sure why people think it cant just be nature though it can. Even just images of forests count. Any empty space does. It's fine if a liminal space has plants. Even though plants are alive they still are fine to have in liminal spaces.

To me, the daytime felt the most liminal. I think one of the reasons you didn't get as many upvotes or popularity is because liminality is different for everyone. What might be liminal to you might not be liminal to other people. Yet there are some photos that are considered liminal by everybody, like the hotel and the backrooms. Why? I don't have clue; liminality is weird.
