Currently 29 years old, remembering this type of style was so big somewhere in the mid to late 2000s. But as a metalhead (myself specially) i didn't really drive into the goth or emo style on music wise back in those times. Because in reality, generally speaking emos and metalheads aren't really the same in most cases. Even as a young teenager i was aware of artist/bands such as Marilyn Manson or A7X for examples that i did like several of their songs or albums. But for myself I'd prefer more of the old school thrash and death metal music, mostly from the 80s and 90s (don't matter if it's well known or the underground). But overall I did actually enjoy watching this video and really enjoy seeing something outside of your comfort zone for a change. Keep it up! 😉
@imageword55763 ай бұрын
I agree except as a metalhead myself, I remember being able to blend in well with the more emo--skatepunk crowd in highschool. It was like I was in a slightly different subtype of the overall alternative type which included both the emo skaterpunks and the metalheads.
@jacobcolley98053 ай бұрын
@imageword5576 yeah sure does make sense in that time, depending on different people where they grew up in (musically). Rather it's punk rock, emo or even crossover thrash, thrash/heavy metal for examples where it comes with Skateboarding or any other extreme sports.

Thought I would be shunned but alot of them are down :D. Your inspiration from Johnny has also guided me towards the look I was aiming for during emo nights in town. Also having a Gengar on your collage reminds my kid, Gengar is her favorite Pokemon right now :o. I love your emo look!

I am a 31 year old goth, and I enjoyed this video. For context, there is a KZbin channel called clawed_beauty that is about an emo content creator. But what I like about this video is that you are trying out a subculture that is not as popular as it used to be. Also, the songs you are playing here are actually good, and I have some of them in my playlist. What I truly wish is for alternative subcultures to be more accepted in society and for no fighting and infighting within subcultures. Kacee, would you consider embracing your emo look for good?

Great Job. I never really got emo. I was in to grunge and pop punk in the 90s and 00s but emo was too much for me. The most emo I got was Green Day but they started as a 90s punk band before moving in to a more emo style in the mid 90s. I could never get in to MCR and the fashion was too Goth for me. I know the difference as my brother was a Goth in the 90s and liked The Cure which are actually a great band.
