Many Christians are discovering that Jesus will save all mankind but the church is against such teaching. Gary Amirault gives some advice how to respond.

i had to fall into something some time ago..to hit the bottom line of my faith: i sinned so bad and so aware, i would say, that there is no forgivness for me. i had some really deep and ugly crisis last year..even if i was not believing in eternal hell anymore and i was sure i still love the lord and i still desire to follow him..still, here i aaa, down, laying in my own darkness, accused and condemned..i thought i might have commited the unpardonable sin and all the horrible scenarios. so, several times, in my misery i prayed for Abba to end my life..if there is no forgivness for me anymore at least to end my horrible emotional pain..and He didn't honored my prayer. it was not done with me..in this state I heard about the universal restoration. and I know in the past I would have rejected such thing..I had to be humbled to grasp the only truth: Yeshua died for all the sin..and He will accomplish the plan of God which is restauration. that's love..that wins. i am so happy i found these videos..changed a lot of my lenses.

I have the same problem, it seems people who have been "saved" feel they are in some kind of a club and to a point delight in the fact that they are going to heaven and I'm going to hell. One of their favorite questions is "then why did Jesus die on the cross?" to which I reply "to save the world" their next question is "why not just do what you want then?" my answer I am, I love Jesus I don't fear eternal punishment. To me, it's like meeting your future spouse and telling them if you marry me I will love you forever if not I will burn you forever, but I will still love you as you burn. That's usually when they tell me how crazy I am and I tell them how much Jesus loves us all.

I wonder how the Christians who don't believe in universal salvation can tell non-christians that Jesus loves them. They make God sound like the most abusive, toxic father in the world and the worst part is they don't even realise it!

There is something evil with this religion. If you ask any christian he will say that he wants as many people as possible to be saved from hell fire. But if you tell them that hell may not exist and that there is no eternal punishment they get angry. This is just a proof that they dont give a shit about people as long as they them self is part of the club and has that free card. That metality is really scary.

I believe you should do what is right BECAUSE IT IS RIGHT. If the threat of eternal hell is the only thing holding you back from doing bad things, then that would be a very immature and primitive place that you are in. You probably lack the full appreciation of the difference between right and wrong, if you believe that's as good as it gets morally.

"this makes a lot of Christians so angry. They literally want people to go to hell, and they think its not fair" Those angry Christians' attitude is, 'Justice for them, but mercy for me.' Matthew 18 (NKJV) www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+18&version=NKJV 21 Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” .... 26 The servant therefore fell down before him, saying, ‘Master, have patience with me, and I will pay you all.’ 27 Then the master of that servant was moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt. .... 32 Then his master, after he had called him, said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me. 33 Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you?’ 34 And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him. 35 “So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses.”

I think a lot of people need an eternal hell to threaten themselves with. Without that, either 1. they would be complete degenerates, and/or 2. they believe there would be no justice.

Thank you so much for all your work. During last 10 years of my life as a Catholic I was struggling with the problem of hell. In fact I have never been able to see what kind of good thing is actually the traditional Gospel of eternal division and everlasting punishment. I believe my OCD was mostly caused by this particular Church teaching. Finally, I left Christianity two years ago and much of my torments ended. But I still rejoice at what you're doing. After millenia there is again a good news.

I remember when I became a born again Christian. I few months ago I saw Howard Stewart's nde and was petrified. For maybe 2-3 weeks I believed so many people that I believed were good would be tortured forever and also feared that my grandma was long gone at this point. But I wasn't going to have that, I researched like crazy and found someone who addressed the topic of the miss-translation that helped me so much and removed the fear in my heart. Then started to research more and found your reasons which helped to convince me that all would be saved and I will never be more happy. I believe that God both sent us people to help us see the truth of universal salvation. Thank you for the video and your work :D. God bless you and everyone :].

Years ago, I checked into it, asked the leader of the foundation some questions regarding Jesus. I wasn't satisfied with his answer. I am very Jesus centered. There are many well written books on spirituality. But I suggest to people to stay focused on the Jesus portrayed in the Scriptures. Jesus is the way the truth and the life, the resurrection. He is the name above all names.

The truth is so wonderful and so grand and plain, that the Pharisaic spirit that wants to elevate itself above the glory of of God finds the truth "seductive." "Deceptive" is another term they like to sling around. "This is a faithful saying and worthy of ALL acceptance. For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, because we TRUST in the living God who is the savior of all men especially those who believe." 1 Tim 4:9-11 Seductive to some, thrilling to those in need of God's grace.

Still, I Can't believe I actually fell for those horrendous lies about hell and the lake of fire taught in most churches. I almost lost faith in God because of it. I was so depressed and scared, to the point I even thought of giving up on life, seeing as it had no meaning if this was the destiny the majority of mankind had to suffer. myself included, as well as my friends, my family, Everyone I cared about was going to hell, while the ''holy ones'' will have great lives. I've had a huge emotional breakdown from that hell thing. Annihilationism didn't really do much at first, but Eternal torment did have me in fear's crushing grip, I felt I was being hunted down like an animal to be slaughtered. I had feelings of sadness, fear, desperation mixed with anger, and a sense of being betrayed. that seriously got me mad, and really pissed off, I didn't know what to think or believe in anymore. but I'm glad I found out the real truth about God's ultimate plan for the salvation of all! I may have lost faith in the Christian religion a long time ago, but I will never lose faith in God, Yeshua, and the Holy Spirit that led me to the real truth. I'm still undergoing a process of recovery that may take a long time, but I'm still glad I discovered the truth that really sets free. :')

Friend, if what's in your heart is to screw around, then dude, according to Matthew 5, you're already fried, if Hell is the fate of those who have hate and lust and whatever IN THEIR HEARTS. You're toast, if God is as wrathful and unforgiving as you betray. But I met a savior who on the cross said, "Father forgive them for they do not know what they are doing." Amazing, those who murdered God and He forgave

Tammy, you are not walking alone, there are many who are walking but God puts us in seasons where it appears we are walking alone because there are no like-minded people in our immediate contact and because we are rejected by those close to us. It's painful; it's part of God's processing, sharing the shame, despised, rejected, etc. Turn it into prayer and intercession. Allow it to turn you more to the spiritual. "My kingdom is not of this world." I pray that you enter joy in the midst of what presently may be rough going, especially with your Mom. Give her much grace, be patient and understanding. Just love on her.

The teaching of the "restoration of all things" is as old as the prophets, Jesus and His apostles. The early church taught it up to the days of Augustine. A good book for proof of that is "Universalism The Prevailing Doctrine Of The Christian Church During Its First Five Hundred years by Dr. J.W. Hanson. It is available to read at Tentmaker Ministries. When the teaching of Hell became the mainstay of the church it created what is today called the DARK AGES. We're still not out of them yet.

Yes. Love then unconditionally. Pray absolutely. And now many conversations have been had don't antagonise anymore just stick to other Biblical narrative you both agree on and stop when it turns to the unagreed. Maybe you could go on Dad and daughter dates to talk and tell her your strategy. Pray together for your wife/mum. I feel your pain. Its a bit of a grieving process but my husband and I do much better by not bringing it up. And you know what we dont have to wirry about their salvation at least. She may be resistant coz it may mean discon ection with her friendship group. I hope this helps and I pray she comes around. Still praying for mine. God bless

Rob Bell has come to this deep place. Unfortunately too many Evangelicals tend to be trapped in a state of shallowness (a baby food religion) and fear like a child afraid of the dark. It's scary to go into those shadows of belief and learn that there is far more to the Gospel than the limitations that too many Christians (especially preachers) put on them.

In Ephesians 1:13 the Holy Spirit through the Apostle Paul declares that men are saved and sealed by hearing and BELIEVING the Word of Truth, the Gospel of your Salvation. Therefore, here, now, is declared unto you the Word of Truth, the Gospel of your Salvation: "that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures" 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 . BELIEVE today. The time is short.

LOL, we all have closets full of sin. "Sin is transgression of the law" (1 John 3:4) - We are free from the punishment of sin because of his sacrifice. Keeping the Torah does not prevent me from sinning. Keeping Torah as best I can shows my Messiah that I Love Him. "For this is the Love of God, that we KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS" 1 John 5:3 I'll never do it perfectly in the flesh, but I should walk after him perfectly in Spirit.

The Bible teaches no such thing as salvation by "chance" or "another chance." Salvation is by the finished work of the cross. When Jesus was crucified by you, and me and all the rest of His enemies, Jesus said, "Father forgive them for they do not know what they are doing." Did Jesus pray the prayer of the Father? Did Jesus pray according to the Father's will? More importantly, will the Father answer Jesus' prayer? Will the Father of us all forgive us all? The Father and Son are in agreement.

Yes, to some that fact that God is a love that NEVER fails, never gives up is truly good news! But to many of a Pharisaic mindset, Good News is believing that most of mankind is going to rot in eternal torment forever and ever while a handful of chosen frozen encamp around their god rejoicing that they were chosen to escape such a fate. Yes, there are millions of Christians who hold such a view of God and themselves. Jesus called them Pharisees, separated ones, hypocrites. Love never fails!

Perhaps you should heed Paul's advice and preach his gospel. "This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance. Oh, I certainly believe that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures. He tasted death for EVERYONE. Your hideous doctrine concludes His salvic power of the cross was basically ineffectual, it scarcely saved anyone. As a matter of fact, according to you, it saved no one. Your salvation according to your doctrine comes from YOUR decision, not from Christ's power to save. Seems you contradict Paul who says we are saved by grace, not by our decisions or works. Did Paul "chose" Christ?

I have never met someone who pretends to "keep the law" actually even remotely come close to keeping it. As a matter of fact, those today who try to keep the Mosaic code became chief hypocrites with closets full of sin. The leaven of the Pharisee is hypocrisy and Christian "law-keepers" are usually chiefest among the hypocrites. I say this having been in Messianic Jewish congregations for some time.

This is the truth, period! The Christians don't bother to even look at literal translations, they put their faith in what they were taught, and the person that taught them was taught and on and on it goes. Eons, are specific time periods of God, as an example Christ will be here in the Millennium, Christians believe this and they should, it is an eon. The problem with translation is the in the Bible, eons are translated as eternity. There are five eons in the Bible, we are currently in the Evil Eon, the third eon. When Jesus returns, that will be the fourth eon, for his 1,000 year reign on earth. The final eon, will be a new heaven and new earth, and when that ends, God will be all in all and all things will return to God, including the non-believers. Who created evil and who causes evil? Answer...God does. Isa 45:7 "I form the light and create darkness; I make peace, and create EVIL; I the LORD do all these things. 1 John 12:47 And if any man hears my words, and believe not, I judge him not, for I came not to judge the world, but to same the WORLD. God has a plan, both good and evil, that in the end, we all will be saved eternally!

Friend, you will discover God mercy is far more than your reasoning of Scriptures. Rom 11:30 ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief: Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy. For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all. O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

If discipleship was entrance to eternal life and deliverance from eternal damnation, Jesus would not have spoken in parables and said so many things to turn people away. "He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him." "I have only come but for the house of Israel." He carefully selected a few for a mission for the first century. It is apparent you do not understand their mission. Perhaps that's because you are not a disciple? "And I, if I am lifted up from earth..

The words hades, gehenna and tartarus should either be transliterated as in done in many many translations and places or they should be defined. Hades in the place of the dead, or unseen. Gehenna is a valley outside Jerusalem walls, so it should be valley of Hinnom. Tartarus is a word out of Greek Mythology, place where bad angels are held UNTIL judgment. None of these implies a place where human beings go after death to suffer "everlasting punishment."

Well I have no doubt, Hell is real in your mind, but the day will come when your mind is renewed and you will no longer think such evil thoughts about our Father. You ask why I am serving God if I believe in Universal Salvation? Has it ever occurred to you that I serve God BECAUSE of universal salvation. A god who loses most of mankind is not worthy of serving. But a God who is love and proves His love on the cross to die for his enemies, THAT kind of God is worthy to be served. God is love.

If someone comes to know God from a hell fire and brimstone message it is based on a falsehood and emotion. More times than not that person never truly became sanctified in Christ Jesus, which is the only way to learn how to crucify their fleshly desires and have victory. Then they go back to their vices all the while they have burning in eternal flames or eternally separated from God etched in their memory and things could tend to progress to the worst. CONT>>

Pastor Picos, you can condemn the wicked all you want. I know there is none righteous, nay, not one. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God including you. Now you can boast in your decision all you want, in the end, your boasting will be in vain. In Adam ALLLL died, even so in Christ shall all be made alive, but each in his own order. In the end, God will be all in all. 1 Cor. 15:22-28. Now, this is a comments place, not a discussion board. if you want to discuss visit Tentmaker.

Hi Gary. My friend Carl, on facebook, read your article I sent him; 'Honest Questions and Answers about Hell' He's a Calvinist & swears that you don't know what you're talking about & that you're wrong about church history & that those words don't mean eternal, etc. etc. One of his arguments was that Universalism was called a heresy by the church in 553. I couldn't believe that he was making that argument. Well. At least he knows it wasn't until 553 - LOL

Please tell, how do we get Universal Salvation from this verse? I am a believer in Universal Restoration/Salvation but am troubled with this verse. Psalm 145:20 KJV, "The Lord preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy." YLT and other versions say basically the same thing. ???

Actually, in most Bible translations produced in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, Jesus actually did invent Hell. The first place the word Hell appears in the NIV, NASB, NRSV, etc is in Matt. 5:22 -- in Jesus' mouth. Amazing how deep the hypocrisy and blasphemies that come from church leaders and fed to the sheep. I'm working on an article on this most interesting aspect of most "scholarly" new Bible translations. Stay tuned. Thanks.

Yes, the way is very narrow that leads to life as narrow as the cross of Christ. No one comes to the father unless the father draws him. "And I, if I am lifted up from the earth will draw (drag in Greek) all mankind to myself. This He spoke signifying what manner of death He should die. Wanna see the narrow way, visit the beam upon which the savior of the world was hung. He said, "Father forgive them for they do not know what they are doing. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. Praise Him.

When I was a teenager, I went to a conference teaching how to witness with the four spiritual laws and the Roman Road. Those little tracts? At the end of the week we paired off and walked assigned neighborhoods, knocking on doors with intention to witness. They told us to pray before we knocked on the doors. The truth of it was? About the third house in, a Jehovah's Witness answered the door. He chewed us up and spit us out. My partner ended up crying. So after that? We prayed before we knocked on doors. What we didn't tell was we prayed that no one would be home.

Yes, those who truly believe in Hell and don't backshelf it but really try to consciously believe it to the point of trying to really save people from Hell, usually very quickly become self-righteous, mean and judgmental. That's what the doctrine does to people. It happened to me. We begin to blame those who reject our so-called "good news" which is really insanity. Unfortunately, most of our Bible translations are tainted with this poison making it hard for people to come to their senses.

Arrogance has the tendency to show up on both sides of this debate. There are those who believe in limited atonement based on activating God's grace by coming to faith who will call universalists heretics, followers of an antiChrist one world religion, etc. And universalists who bash traditional Christians as dupes, cruel, and say they are all just like the Pharisees that Jesus opposed. Why cant someone admit this is a difficult issue and that you could use Bible verses to defend both? Faith people will ask why Jesus warns that we must repent. They would ask why Paul writes that we are saved by grace, but through faith. The universalist may ask about all dying in Adam and all living in Christ. Two groups claiming to have the market cornered on God's love but cant even treat each other with human respect. People of all theological leanings need to remember that we cant claim to love the God we havent seen if we dont love the brother we can see

Dan First Because eternal torment was not in the original Hebrew and Greek manuscripts. It was added by the Roman Catholic church In 500 CE. If they would study what the early church father's tought and do some history studying. They would see this but they refuse. They very places that say forever is a mistranslation of Aion are Olam which both means age. Olam is the Hebrew word for age. Aion is the Greek word for age.

@@davidford15 Well personally I don't believe God would be so cruel to eternally torment anyone. But if I'm wrong and he does eternally torment people are anything. I do not want anything to do with him. If God is an eternal tormentor all the evil's human's have commited combined are nothing to that one evil act. Because if God would eternally torment 1 person as fare as I'm concerned heaven would not be a paradise. He would most likly abuse the people that go to heaven. He would most likly treat them wrong. I mean if eternal torment is true God would be one hell of a Sadist. Why can't people understand the problem with a God of love and a Just God being an eternal tormentor does not add up. So the point of my post is to say that a God of love and a Just God can not be an eternal tormentor. Because the punishment has to be rooted in love and a Just nature. Eternal torment is an unbalanced punishment so it's an unjust punishment. Eternal torment conflicts with a loving God. But some punishment has to happen if God is just. The type of punishment's that can work with a Just God and a God of love would be saving everyone who has ever lived. But have it be like a trial for them to get saved. Are the ones that are not saved leave no trace of body and soul. As in no after life for the wiked Just the end of their existence.

In this case, a condition is placed upon true discipleship You make the word mean what you want it to say finish reading it in context 1 tim 4:16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

Very tranquil place to do this video. I now want to get a fishing boat to go to the lake. My whole christian life I have believed in an eternal damnation for lost people. It is so hard to let go of that because its brainwashed into my memory. I feel better today for hearing your video and another one that debunked that self-righteous doctrine in the video before these. I was so depressed 5 minutes into the doctrine of eternal damnation video that my spirit felt dark. Jesus says: "the kingdom of God is within us" and "seek ye first the kingdom of God and its righteousness and all things will be added unto you." If you find that kingdom of god and its righteousness then you eliminate the self righteous darkness that is produced by fear of annihilation.

First of All, I am in this dialogue with you guys to seek the truth. So Be It. I am very open minded, but, I love my Indapenden/fundamental learning from Dr. Darwin cummins, when, he explained to us how important it is to seperate ourselves from the world. I had an experience where Jesus talked to me Telepathicly on Dec. 21, 2005. I got Saved in 1971 but this event was similar with added tangible carnal knowledge of Jesus. Jesus said: to me, James, I can still use you, give up all Hope in the things, of this World. I believe seperating from the world to transform yourself into the Christian that can withstand the tempters seductions ( Satan and the Demons), then, go forth into the world, not being prejudiced to where you go in order to reach out corss cultural/ethnical boundaries with the Love of God.

I am agnostic to the Idea that Everyone is going to receive a Universal Salvation. I like the Idea and find very much scriptural knowledge that appears to support it. The honsest truth is, I think regardless how salvation is handed out, were responsible to help advance the Kingdom of God, so, the LOVE of God will iron out all incorrect doctrine, and, correct the doctrine with a two edged sword.

Actually, thinking you are keeping any semblance of Torah, reveals the veil over your eyes. I have been in many Messianic Assemblies and read a LOT of material from Sabbath keeping groups. There are a couple headquarters of such groups near Columbia. I have seen the dark spirit that works in these places. I have also seen those who think they are keeping Torah cannot see their spiritual blindness. Jas 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

Isn't it interesting that when we think of Hell, we immediately picture, Hitler, Ted Bundy, Joseph Stalin, etc. But when Jesus used the terms Christianity has translated as Hell, He was warning "holy people," Bible scholars, lawyers, scribes, Pharisees. This is the cream of the crop of what society deemed "honorable" people. And Jesus said the "scum" of the world would enter heaven BEFORE the "honorable" religious folks. So maybe hell is full of Popes, evangelists, Pastors and Bible scholars.

The Bible teaches that sinners suffer the sorrows of the second death because of their evil, ungodly deeds, but in the final analysis, what it all boils down to is that they will experience ‘after‑death’ judgment, the wrath of God, because they refuse God’s all‑sufficient remedy. Note John 3:36 , “he that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life: but the wrath of God abideth on him.”

Of course, those who are in the light get to experience in this lifetime what light in the midst of darkness is like. They get to practice overcoming their enemies with love. They get to enjoy the joy and abundant life Jesus promises. I am so grateful I am no longer living in the darkness of atheism, for example. I KNOW God loves me. There are times I can experience that love. AND I can get free from the darkness of religion which was worse than atheist darkness. Religion stinks of death. ugh.

People say God can't stand to be in the presence of Sin. Now THAT is a tradition of men that makes the word of God of no effect. Jesus was God in the flesh. He ate with sinners, lived with them. "He who knew no sin BECAME sin." He "tasted death for everyone." So while your "tradition" might sound right to you because you heard it so often from Hellfire and damnation preachers, it's a lie. After all, chances are you are still very much in sin and I bet you will say God lives in you. Right? THINK!

In Ecclesiastics that is the death book it's said in that book that when a person dies there's no DISCHARGE in that battle of death. A person can't come back from the dead and ask for forgiveness, it's got to be done now, this is the dressing room before we die. And yes I love my enemies and I do good to those who persecuted me. But they must be born again in this life time. God is bigger than any man women or child, how do you think God is going let them write lies? It can't be done.

Tentmaker contains a lot more material regarding life and Christianity besides the subject of universal salvation through Jesus Christ. While Richard Wurmbrand did not take a stand for universal salvation through his ministry I sent him some material and spoke with him by phone. I think his heart was more inclined to the message than what one may think. His ministry from what I've heard from Richard's son, has been hijacked by administrators who don't have the kind of heart Richard had.
