Mike supply will Never catch up with demand. Just Look if the Chinese Government instruct their citizens to start buying Silver . On Chinese population 1.4 Billion people if each person buys only 1 ounce of Silver per month. You would Need around 13 Bilion ounces of Silver per year . as you know only 850 Milion ounces of Silver are coming from the ground every year.

We keep coming back to that there is a silver shortage for several years now but thr price hasnt gone up too substancially. We kept believing that the price is manipulated but is there a possibility that there is actually no shortage? I understand that there are many 100s of claims on an ounce of silver in the comex but the fact is that there are still no report that anyone needs silve but can't get it for the price to move up. So maybe there is no shortage! Even if they have secrectly sold every ounce of ETF silver so that there is nothing to back the ETFs, no retail investor can claim any of the physicial silver either. Doesnt that mean they have no actual use for silver other than pure 'finance' idea and that doesn't constitute a need to cause a so called 'shortage'?

This has crossed my mind as well. Along with the idea that there is approximately 7x as much physical silver in the earth crust then gold. At the end of the day supply plays the biggest factor in price and demand is really hard to truly measure. Just imagine how much silver gets produced everyday that therefore constantly negates the price downwards.

I don't think silver can be considered a safe heaven anymore... The network effect we live nowadays, globally, leads to a winner takes all scenario to define THE ultimate safe heaven asset. For me there's two just because they have totally different dynamics: gold in the physical world, Bitcoin in the digital world. Even in "separate worlds" they will compete, but I believe they can coexist because of different dynamics between then. I love the channel and I learned a lot with Mike since the beginning on KZbin! In the world of market manipulation it is inevitable that prices can be utterly distorted. We should be thankful to analyst like Mike Malony who have the courage to speak the truth of true value in a fair market. Do not be sarcastic nor mock them if you do not wish to listen. That he has been off target does not mean he was wrong. It only means the market is distorted but the true value has been building up to come back like an explosion. It could be times like these that the build up in true value finally vindicates all these analyst. Those who believe in them through thick and thin will have the last laugh.

Every time I pick up a coin in a parking lot, or look at the FRN's in my wallet, it just feels smaller and smaller and as if it has lost value. The "triple-digit" forecasts just don't feel like they're as big: being a millionaire used to mean something, but not anymore. But once in a while I find a dime, quarter, or penny that feels like it's worth something. I'm saving copper, now. If I have dollars, I spend them on silver or something else of tangible value. Bottom line: how low can the dollar go? And right before it gets there, how much real stuff will it buy compared to an ounce of copper, silver, gold, steak, milk, gasoline, or an umbrella? These ratios are far more useful than price estimates in an ephemeral FRN.

Silver is primarily an industrial metal these days. It is very useful because of its high electrical conductivity. It is unlikely that silver will ever become a monetary metal again as gold fills that function much better than silver with modern technology. Since silver should be viewed as an industrial metal, the investment strategy for silver should be similar to an investment strategy for copper. This is a different strategy to that which applies to gold. It should be noted that the non Western central banks are buying gold not silver.

All I care about is the gold (or silver)/sandwich ratio. Maybe some soup and a beverage. My other costs are mostly fixed at dollar prices, but I can always barter with food if necessary to obtain medical care (many doctors have made house-calls for a chicken). How many sandwiches will it buy? The dollar is useless for measuring value especially in digits (same with bitcoin). In addition the dollar and its derivatives are inedible and not a store of value. I need storage for value that will buy sandwiches.

Tim Marchener on the Yankee Stacking channel had a great observation. The first time silver gets that high, it doesn't matter what you have. Coins, bars or rounds.... 1oz of silver is 1oz of silver. Premiums for different types will fade for a while if Silver goes on a run to $100

The western world has been rigging silver using the COMEX for years. This 400 to 1 ratio is crazy, but that is what they are doing. Even now, no matter what the supply is, the 400 to 1 ration will keep the prices down. When the BRICS nations can't get silver from the West, the rigging will end. The BRICS nation will make a true exchange based on the real wealth of silver. The Main function of the COMEX is to make gold and silver cheap compared to fiat dollars, which support the dollar. Silver will be real wealth again, and I believe it is coming soon. I don't think you can do this with silver. Silver has significantly changed over time. in the 80 it was an attempted corner... and since 2000 its becoming a lot more industrial than monetary. This means you are not comparing apples to apples. Look at copper and other industrial metals, they act very differently.

Each of those trendlines is built from only 2 points. That doesn't give great confidence that those lines are accurate, because you can draw a line from any two points. The trend could be something different + random volatility, for all we know. The only thing that would seem hard to argue against is that the Dow tends to gain on silver when you measure decades at a time.
