Funny enough the service you got is the same we get too as locals. You are not treated differently just because you are a tourist. It's a consistent attitude of customer service we enjoy as a country. They don't judge you based on your money status. The minute you get into someone's store you are somebody. I love that about my country. People in general are just hospitable. We were raised that way. It's funny that we are a people of at least 11 to 15 different tribes and different languages however we are just the same.

This is how we say it in Zulu: "Umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu", this is the spirit of uBuntu. "I am a human because of you". Basically its saying I am nothing without you. You see that paradise is possible on Earth, its already within us but it takes all of us. I cannot be achieved in isolation.
@MoreTheJonesFamily2 жыл бұрын
So very true. We are nothing without each other. It’s a beautiful truth and a great feeling when experienced!

Great video. What church do you recommend. I will be in Johannesburg in January. Thank you!
@zusibone2 жыл бұрын
If you come from Pentecostal background I'd recommend Assemblies of God Sandton. If you are from Charismatic church background I'd recommend Every Nation Church in Rosebank or Rhema Bible church in Randburg or Grace Bible Church in Soweto. I'm Pentecostal and when I go to church I like to go to a church where at any given time I might be hit by the Holy Ghost and knocked off my chair see open heaven. Lol. Assemblies of God Hillbrow Berea, every worship service there it's like heaven.

Yes, my brother, you got it right and you explained it very well. Next time just expand it, it's not just for South Africans, this is in all Africans. As one scholar said, "you find the word that ends with --ntu." All Bantu languages have it. You have words like Antu, Bantu, Vantu, Vanhu, etc. etc..... even non-Bantu languages have it, including Md Ntr. It's African my Brother. Thru and thru. Humanity and Generosity. That's why the invaders took Africa over, the elders were too nice to them. Not anymore!
