Interesting Fact: Araki planned a betrayal arc between Fugo and the rest of the gang, but because of his depression at the time of writing Golden Wind, he couldn’t do it. Giorno making his “vaccine” during the Man in the Mirror arc hints to this. Also read Purple Haze Feedback, a spin-off novel made by Kobei Kadono that expands of Fugo’s character. It’s pretty good.

Something I realized: Fugo was the smart one of the group. He was logical, which is why he left. This is why the group's cohesion went to shit during the Clash/Talking Heads encounter. Also, he would have probably been the one to point out how leaving Abbaccio by himself during a situation where he was defenseless was a bad idea. I'm saying that without the brains of the group to help them, they ended up making some rash decisions. Also he was the only member who wore a watch, which would have been extremely helpful against King Crimson, since he wouldnt need to rely on his blood. Also, an AOE type stand would have countered KC's abilities perfectly. Predicting the future doesn't mean squat when you're trapped in a cloud of pure COVID.

28:00 The stuff with Fugo is actually quite interesting. Araki's original plan was for him to betray the boys and be killed by Giorno, but he wasn't in a good emotional state at the time so he couldn't bring himself to put that in the manga, so he just took him out. Some years later, a light novel was published under Araki's direction in which Fugo, a bit after he leaves the boys is ordered to assassinate them but, instead of being killed by Giorno, he betrays the mafia and dissapears into the distance. You could say is some sort of arc that wasn't shown in the anime or the manga. And then, even more time later, another light novel was written in which Giorno, now with his dope-ass black suit, finds Fugo and decides to give him a second chance by giving him a mission, during this, Fugo's Purple Haze evolves and he ends up becoming Giorno's right-hand man. Also, he canonically only wears thongs, really makes you think.

Golden wind is my favorite animated jojo part and my third favorite overall after 7 and 8 I don't know maybe it's because the villain of the week format became better with the villains having an entire small arc instead of just 1 episode like they feel really fleshed out along the main cast as well The theme of accepting fate for what it is and running away from it and the best animation jojo ever had really portrayed these 4D chess fights really well (compared to the manga where you don't know what's going on) It's a nice self contained story

Giorno actually wouldn't be able to bring abbacchio back to life because the reason why Bruno came back is a mix of Giorno imbuing his body with Life Energy but also because Bruno has such a strong will that he essentially willed his soul back into his body for a short amount of time which is sort of like what Joseph did in part 3 but Joseph wasn't 100-percent dead so he was able to stay in his body and lived out the rest of his life
