To my understanding, he still owns that large house that he built. So I can say that he did make use of the money wisely, to an extent. I think the problem was all the clothes, cars, house items etc. But I've seen people blow their money in much worse ways than this. It didn't turn out extremely bad for him, at the end of it all. At least he still has the house and is earning rental income from it.

According to me, he is very smart. I always tell people that your first and greatest asset in this life must be own house. Then the second will be your business. People talk of investing in a business first, but they do not understand the risks involved especially in today's competitive environment. This guy still has a solid home, despite all of the spending on friends which is wiser than he thinks. Either way a million Rands is change these days if you think about the cost of living. Flip only if he managed to stay away from those vultures he calls friends he would have been able to squeeze at least R250k into his bank account to think about on the day he eventually got sober.

not huge amount. he got 1.185million. Plot, house, labour, 3 second hand cars, curtains, furniture... that cost him around 800k. only 285K was left for parties, petrol, hangers-on. And the furniture he sold would have cost less than 10,000 when he sold it for beer. And out of that 285K, he would have spend close to 80k on clothes for himself, his sister and his wife.

Most black people are poor so when they get a fortune they use this money to create an identity for themselves. When you are poor you have a different relationship with money. You work for money instead of money working for you. This is due to non - exposure to business people who would teach you. On the other hand those white people you're talking about have countless of family members who are involved in businesses and access to investment opportunities. So by the time he gets access to a truck load of cash, he already knows how to multiply this because of practical exposure. I'm not completely disagreeing with you, there are certain races (due to culture and environment) who are extremely financially savvy. Jews, Arabs and Indians are a prime example. This isn't due to wiring, but discipline, culture and your environment plays a huge part in how you see/view money and wealth.

So far I've never seen a woman as a feature on this show, it's always us men and it's on its 2nd season... Why do we spend so much money on reckless things my fellow brothers? 🤦🏿♂️

It is because a mans stature is almost entirely based on his financial capabilities. So when he has cash, he feels the need to show it off so he can gain respect from others
